Next 5 years?

Heck, I’m hoping in the next 24-36 months max.

Yes and likely lower. May take 3-4 years but we will get back to 5% or less mtg rates.

They locked that rate for you?
Could it be an adjustable rate?

I mean VA loan isn't apples to apples.

I've been ready for a new house and land for about 2 years now but we're locked in at 2.5% right now and that's pretty hard to give up.

Had to lock in a 7.25% a couple weeks ago... 30yr Conventional Loan
Posted on 2/24/25 at 1:55 pm to bleedsgarnet
La Capitol Federal Credit Union has a promotional 6.5% for 30 year conventional fixed, with NO points.
Only catch is i believe you have to put down 25%

Yes. Interest rates will start dropping by the summer.

I’m at 6.75 30 year. Need to refinance when things get lower.

I closed an 8% last June. Refinanced at 6.2% in September and I’m pretty sure that was the bottom before they went back up. Hoping to get somewhere sub 5 in the coming year or two.
