A Dothan beauty queen and once Houston County resident accused of plotting to kill her estranged husband while vacationing in the Bahamas will be released from a Bahamian prison for the second time before her trial.
Lindsay Shiver will be released on bail from Fox Hill Prison in Nassau on Thursday, February 13, according to her lawyer, Ian Cargill.
Shiver’s trial has also be pushed from March 2025 to August 29, 2025.
Shiver was initially arrested in July 2023 after she was connected to an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting her husband, Robert. She was arrested alongside her lover, Terrence Bethel.
After being out of prison for over a year, the two had their bonds revoked and were re-arrested in late October 2024 after a judge claimed Shiver and Bethel violated the condition of the Bahama’s restrictions on pre-trial publicity by appearing on Good Morning America and Inside Edition in early October.
A Bahamian court of appeals upheld their bail revocation in December, ordering that Shiver and Bethel remain in Fox Hill Prison until their trial.
It is currently unknown why Shiver was granted a second chance at bail. Bethel was also granted bail.
According to her lawyer, Shiver will be released under her original bail conditions, meaning she will be allowed to return to the United States.
Shiver had been living with her family in the Wiregrass prior to her second arrest.

Cliffs - husband played football at Auburn and briefly in the NFL. After all this settled he began dating Savannah Chrisley in 2023.
Apparently the family was very rich and had multiple homes in different locations. She started shacking up with the boyfriend. Someone sent her a picture of her husband with another woman and there were comments like 'kill him' but they went public and said there were no plans to kill him, it was just frustration etc.
Lot to this story.
