Anyone else lying in bed with a low fever, cough, sore throat, and mild headache instead of going to work?

You are late. We did that in January.

Just getting over it. Tested negative for everything. Worst part was fatigue on days 2-3. Never been that tired. Had COVID twice; neither time wiped me out like this did.

Started feeling a little bad 1/17. Nothing major, just enough to know something was up. Went to work 1/19 to start a stretch of three 12’s. Did a Covid swab 1/20, negative.
Did another one 1/21 before going into work, again negative. All throughout 1/21 started feeling worse, I work in an ICU and most of my co workers were feeling iffy. My wife called our family MD, had some virus swabs delivered to the house, we both tested + for Flu A.
Just now getting the cough/congestion and body aches to all go away.

Monday morning I woke up with body aches, after developing a small cough Sunday. Midday Monday I was running a fever of 103 and went to urgent care. Tested negative for covid and the flu. Doc said I have a respiratory virus and prescribed me cough medicine. I killed the fever that evening, but haven't slept well all week due to coughing and congestion. This weekend can't get here soon enough

And I got my wife sick, so now I'm not hearing the end of that either

Yeah, I’m on day 4 of what feels like a bad sinus infection. It dropped into my lungs and has affected my breathing overnight. Sore throat, coughing, ears popping etc but no fever or runny nose. Everyone around me has been sick for weeks and I finally get a little of the crud.

I don't understand why are people still getting tested for COVID when the treatments for COVID and the Flu are the same?

Sure, but you can still test negative for the flu and have COVID.

Thanks for your service?

Hopefully you took PTO and didn’t just ask to ‘work from home’ because you’re sick. If you’re going to be laying around not working, then you need to take PTO.

Big pet peeve of mine. Oh, I’m sick…can I just ‘WFH’ today? Take PTO, that’s what it’s for.
