The regional sales and marketing dude for Athletic Brewing in KC had a three vessel Spike brew system for sale a couple of years ago. Went down to check out the brew system and ended up talking to him about the non alcoholic beers he was selling in some retailers in the KC market. He said the non alcoholic beers by Athletic Brewing were the best he's tasted and that's why he took the job. Still haven't tried any yet.

What is the purpose of drinking a non-alcoholic beer? Defeats the purpose of drinking.

Not if you actually like the taste of beer. I don’t get why that’s so difficult to understand.

Not true. I could give you a 6-7% ABV hazy IPA and a hazy non alcoholic IPA brewed with similar grain bill and hops and the taste difference is quite obvious.

Some like myself don’t drink but enjoy the ritual and social interaction.. it’s an illusion but so is drinking alcohol

Massive waste of carbs and money for me. Plus during my teetotal spells, I don’t really want to taste “beer.”

Don't forget the high levels (even higher than alcoholic beers) of sugar. I think it's great people that people cut back or eliminate alcohol; just don't waste your health and money doing so.
