FRCC transformation

Played FRCC many times growing up, a 9-hole track in New Roads. Not great but better than Ethel (IYKYK).

Mr Jim Moore putting $40m into the re-build…intends for FRCC to be a top-tier golf destination. Reopens in the Fall.
That cat wouldn’t last a min in most Southern towns…where dozens of long rifles would appear from nowhere!
Hub, I’m a Marine on recruiting duty…ping me if you want to talk through it. I can help guide and coach you and your son through this process.

Congratulations to him.

Edit for jobs question:
There are 48 recruiting stations across the US. Think all the big cities; Baton Rouge is one. We recruit every zip code. Each has 12 or so sub-stations. For example, RS Baton Rouge has a sub-station in Jackson MS. Each RS and Substation is allocated a mix of jobs. Your son’s recruiter was being truthful in that he probably doesn’t have any combat arms jobs left. For the Marine applicants, infantry then artillery are the fastest going jobs. Although there may not be any left for your recruiter, there are plenty across the US.
Marne Corps only service to have a clean audit…done it each of last three years. Ooohhhrah!

Thanks for the tips, very helpful. Given boat size, I’ll pick my days.

First trip to rigs

Posted by MAEFIELD on 4/26/26 at 7:31 am
Will be in grand isle for Memorial Day weekend. Fishing from SH BX25. Intend to run out to the rigs for snapper. Fished the bay a lot, have never run out to the rigs. At the risk of asking any fisherman for his fav spot, where would you go in a BX25 to have a decent shot at red snapper? Those rigs you can see from the beach, what is caught around them? Also, how would you get smart about locating rigs near GI on a map or with gps coordinates?

Update: bought the BX25FS today…weather permitting, will run out to the rigs Memorial Day weekend. Thanks for the info below. I’ve got a lot to learn.

West Weeks with a good showing. Enough for late round pick? 4.5 at 230 pounds is not nothin.

Height/Weight: 6-1, 230
40-yard dash: 4.50 seconds
Vertical: 31.5 inches
He was one of my Lieutenants at An Nasiriyah. The size of an NFL linebacker, yet very kind and a servant leader. Still think about him often.
Purple Heart from Vietnam. Good man all around. Perfect for the role of Lamont.
.They’re all running on one vote he made on impeachment.

Transfer portal timing

Do all incoming transfer portal players start school in Spring semester, meaning now? I’m guessing yes…and will make for most anticipated spring game in years.
That’s one way to avoid Thucydides trap
Marine on recruiting duty…minimal impact, no slowing down of prospecting, processing, or shipping. We are good.
Marines have literally no one quitting. We love the changes; if you listened closely many of the directives are in line with our culture of ruthless adherence to standards, discipline, and very high physical standards. Make the joint force great again!
Bone in chicken thighs with fresh veggies. Old charter with a bump of bitters. At the camp. Mowed all food plots today, prolly 12 acres in total. Saw lots of deer and two sets of hogs. Shoulda brought a gun.

Playing Copper Mills on Tuesday, anybody out there last few days? Believe greens were punched last week and wondering if they are puttable/decent shape.
It means that you can no longer access security matter are areas associated with that clearance level. If you work in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) , it means you can’t go to work. It can literally put you out of work if your job is security related.

I work in a SCIF in the basement of the Pentagon. Losing my clearance would equate to dismissal.

Many retirees retain a security clearance that allows them access to classified material, which in turn informs their assessment and narrative (think security pundits on MSM network). A retiree who loses their clearance is far less valuable as a pundit or informant. It can neuter them professionally.
