They showed a video of Lane's greatest hits on Game Day, it was impressive how many people he has pissed off. I like Lane, but he is like a hot girlfriend who has cheated on all her other boyfriends, but you think it will be different with you. Good luck.
Alabama has a very long history with Auburn and Tennessee. There has been much bitterness and hate at times for various reasons, and there are therefore longstanding grudges. Alabama and LSU have had some MAJOR games over the past 20 years, but the hate, bitterness, and grudges aren't the same. We grudgingly respect LSU, we don't actually hate them. Thus, not a true rivalry.
They THOUGHT they knew who Kelly was, but they definitely know who Lane is. Buyer beware.
Whay he did for us with Blake Simms in 2014, winning the SEC and getting into the playoffs, was one of the most remarkable things I've ever seen. But I assume you're talking about as a HC.
Yeah, it wasn't your 2 man rush that was the problem, it was some phantom uncalled penalty.
Lane's history is that he never stays in one place for long. Saban had that rep too, until he found a home at Alabama. I thought Lane might have found that home in Oxford, and I still think he's staying FWIW.
I'll never forget sitting in a bar with a buddy drinking beer, football game on in the background with no sound. Told my buddy "I must be drunk because it looked like Woody Hayes just punched a player".

We were going to use a live elephant, until we saw the size of his dumps.
"During the game"

They are going to announce Lane is going to LSU during the Egg Bowl? Right.

I'm not sire what your point is, that's the way we set it up at the REC and at the SEC office in Birmingham because it works out better that way, it makes it less obvious what we're doing.

Probably the same thing that cause Nick Saban to risk losing a natty to get rid of him. Just Lane being Lane.

This.I love Lane personally for what he did for Bama while he was here, but throwing you under the bus will always be in Lane's playbook. If you hire him, you have to just be ok with that, and not shocked when it inevitably happens.
Great. Mizzou will remain an automatic win.
Vandy beats Tennessee.

ND is 29th but ranked over Bama because of "metrics".

Auburn could still win the iron bowl and they will forget about their terrible season

TBH, this is Auburn pretty much every year. The end of the season Iron Bowl is always their potential redemption.
I can't take it any more. I confess. We use the SEC office, which you might not know is in Birmingham, plus the REC, to control the officials because without cheating we could never beat a program as grand as LSU. You are also right about Saban paying players under the table, I mean why else would great football players want to come to Bama and play for him? We apologize and sincerely hope it makes you feel better.
Miami refused to shake hands with our captains before the '92 national championship game in NOLA. That's when I knew we were going to kick their arse.
While it is true that the REC controls SEC refs, we pick our spots, and there was no reason to get involved against this year's LSU. But if it makes you feel better, you would have shocked the world and beat Alabama if not for those cheatin' refs, just like the only reason Saban got good players to come to Alabama was because HE was cheating. But seriously, thanks for a good Sunday afternoon laugh.
You are correct. Alabama has been here before, lots of times. TAM has not.
