Me and my girlfriend are watching her best friends twin boys all weekend. They are 7. Both good kids just picky when it comes to eating I guess. Never had kids so was just wondering If y'all had some recipes that your kids just smashed and couldn't get enough of. Appreciate it.

I suggest asking what they like. My kids’ favorite foods changed weekly.

I use my kids as an excuse to get things I want, like fried chicken. And whisky.

Hamburgers, hotdogs, fried chicken, spaghetti, mac and cheese, pepperoni pizza, all pretty much work for picky kids.

My kids would like chicken nuggets one day but not the next.

OP, take them out to eat, or when they first get to your house bring them to the store and let them pick.

ETA, some things my kids liked when they were that age.

Buttered Noodles
Scrambled Eggs
Red Beans and Rice
Ham/Turkey Sandwhiches
Meatballs in barbecue sauce
Yellow Rice w/ chicken

My 3 year old’s favorite food is rare to medium rare filet mignon

If she has to choose a second it’s probably Pizza Village pizza.

It’s kinda like pulling teeth to get her to eat anything else, but she gets there eventually.

1 kid eats whatever we eat
Middle kid eats pizza, pizza, sometimes nuggets, and pizza
Youngest would eat chicken nuggets for every meal

Next week it will be different.

My kid ate cabbage salad with scorpion pepper hot sauce, blue cheese, and fake bacon bits for dinner.

So um... Blue berries. His arse loves blue berries.

Have you tried hitting them? They’ll eat whatever when they are hungry enough

Homemade pizzas and let them do the toppings. SUPER HIT every time with every kid. It's an easy dough to make and if you don't want to make a pizza sauce the jarred stuff isn't bad. I prefer to make the sauce too but I keep a few jars of the aldi brand, some low moisture mozzarella blocks and pepperoni on hand for emergency pizzas. My boys prefer Italian sausage, Canadian bacon and actual bacon over pepperoni but they always put a little on their pizza. BBQ sauce and some grilled chicken strips make a good pizza also.

Shells and cheese.
Ground venison cooked in a skillet and drained.
Mix em together and tell em its Uncle Buck Casserole.

They're probably only picky eaters when their parents are around, because they'll accommodate the pissing and moaning. Kids will 98% of the time eat more varied foods at other people's houses if they're not given the retard alternative (nuggets and mac and cheese, etc.)

Get a pack of Sweet Italian Turkey sausage, brown it, and dump in a jar of basil spaghetti sauce. Get two or three pasta shapes (rotini, thin spaghetti, penne), let each one pick a pasta shape. If you offer them parm, use the real stuff and make a show of shaving it.

Breakfast, eggs of some sort and bacon. Don't be a bitch and buy a bunch of frozen waffles and syrup.

If you're going to do something like PB&J, get two different kinds of J, they'll make it a game to see who eats the oh-so exotic strawberry jam. Then the second one will want to mix the strawberry with whatever other jam you have just to be a one upper. If they're normal boys.
