7:15 this coming Monday morning. What’s a fool proof excuse I can use to get out of this? I have plans Sunday night and this is putting a big chink in my chain.

Showing up extremely hungover seems like a great way to ensure not getting selected

Have enough drunken fun on Sunday night to get thrown in lockup

You might be able to put Teedy away. I'd be there at 6:15 on Monday.

Tell them you’re a republican and you think everyone is innocent. Or you can say you’re a democrat and everyone is innocent.
It might work

If you have the judge that I had, he's going to embarrass the shite out of you in front of a couple dozen people if you give a silly excuse.

My previous Akon Locked Up status keeps me abstaining from jury duty.

If it's federal it's not a big deal to skip it. Just call them the following day and say you forgot about it. Should be fine.

the most eventful jury summons i got is i saw a Mexican couple get married cause the judge was only judge that spoke Spanish. We were let go after that cause all the cases were settled, mostly DUIs
i wouldn't mind serving on a jury. I don't know why people make such a big deal of trying to get out of it.

Federal goes for 6 months or more if they extend you. You go once a week to the building on Poydras and hear federal cases

Nola CBD for 7:15 am Monday kinda sucks a cock though. Surprised they don’t have to give more notice than that.

Don't. Do your duty.
ETA: And if you waited this long to get a dismissal, you're going to have to at least show up. Your summons should have instructions as to how to request a dismissal prior to reporting. It is usually time-sensitive, though. Let this be a lesson not to procrastinate.
