Strange marketing two weeks before the movie releases.

Captain America shouldn't represent America? What are you even talking about, Anthony? Celebrities are very stupid.

I wonder if actors realize how little their opinion matters? Go put on your tights and entertain me

I think they genuinely don’t realize that they’re the 21st century equivalent of the court jester

Does captain America change in the comics? I've honestly been confused about the whole different person playing captain America

shite, I know what you're getting at but these days if they make their opinions public, it could matter a LOT.

Just look at that idiot Snow White actress. Or that idiot Star Wars chick who came out with all the woke garbage. Those opinions definitely had a pretty huge affect on their particular products and drove people away from them.

In the grand scheme of things, celebrities' opinions don't matter. True. But they definitely can matter to the bottom line.

To a degree they're always changing things up here and there in the comics. However, there are longstanding character foundations that most fans will just accept over time and any changes will have to revert to that mean.

Peter Parker is Spiderman; Miles Morales is Miles Morales

T'Challa is Black Panther

Steve Rogers is Captain America; Sam Wilson is Falcon (or Falon with the Shield)

It is what it is.

If they stuck with Bucky and the “just entertain” approach, this movie would make 1.5 billion dollars

Disney is absolutely retarded

I posted about this on the Poliboard, but to be fair, I think that TigerMan327 does have a convincing argument on what Mackie may have been trying to say but flubbed it:

quote:

He said this while in Rome trying to promote
The movie.

After saying it’s not about America he then stated it’s about being a good person and having integrity and blahh blahh.

I wonder if he kind of misspoke and was trying to convince foreigners that the movie is for everyone not just Americans?

It’s still incredible to me that Disney managed to completely destroy and ruin Star Wars. The prequels sure as shite didn’t even if they were largely hated, but the sequel trilogy and spinoffs (with the exception of Rebels and the first two seasons of the Mandalorian) have been just so bad that it’s ruined the entire mythos.

While this was fiercely debated a decade ago, I don’t see how anyone could even make a remote argument that Star Wars is better than Lord of the Rings at this point. I mean, maybe Vader and the Emperor being better antagonists, but that’s really it.
