Was talking to a buddy of mine that works in a refinery. He was talking about how much faster and cheaper it is to make just PURE GAS without all the additives required and ethanol. Our vehicles would run much better(though some may need adjustments) on pure gasoline, the price would be cheaper and people would get better gas mileage.

I realize the farmers who supply the corn for ethanol are for the most part GOP...but im sorry this is an artificial industry and needs to go

I agree, however

That's a conversation from the form of the American right a few years before MAGA came around.

Not really, the newer cars chips adjust the timing for the octane.

But I do agree with doing away with ethanol.

We can cut out a heck of a lot of other subsidies in the farming world along with welfare....

If you live in an area with a lot of boats....it's easy to get pure gasoline.

Both of our cars get far better fuel economy on fuel with 0% ethanol than on E-10. It's not even close either - it's a 3-4 mpg difference.

There you go. Trump won't touch it. He attacked DeSantis for voting against it if I remember correctly.

So instruct the NRCS (one of the actual useful agencies) to teach/ guide farmers to produce quality foods through no till, cover crop, and rotational grazing of ruminants.

Even if it requires then to use some of the newly opened up headcount from the DEI mandate

This was just more posturing on the "climate change" BS. In reality, the net gain of ethanol for fuel is virtually nil relative to the energy inputs required to grow, harvest, ferment and distill it.

Your extra 3-4 miles turn it into a net negative.

There are lots of hungry people in the world.

frick em - they can grow normal food it's retarded to use suitable farm land to make fake gasoline when we have plenty of oil and real gasoline.

Of the corn used to produce this, how much is done by “Big Farm Investment Corp” vs. “6th Gen Family Company”?

Agree. I wish theyd use this land for cattle, because beef just keeps getting more expensive

And yep.

Now all you have to do is hold your breath waiting for ANYONE in Washington, D.C. to take the lead on ending this insane wastefulness.

Because its a supply/demand kind of thing. I wont pretend to know the regulations of stations/pumps but id assume those are there for boats and probably a limited # of pumps can dispense it. Less of it is made and its in high demand

The growers in the midwest control this... It is one of the reasons Iowa holds so much sway... They really need to diversify their crops but good luck getting the GOP to touch the farm subsides... Welfare for farmers is all ethanol is, along with most of the other subsides...

True, but it's much more expensive than the E-10 from the nozzle sitting right next to it. I my mind, if the ethanol is subsidized and has little to no cost to pass on, then there should be a ~10% increase in price from E-10 to make up for the difference in gasoline. The pumps around my house with both will mark up no ethanol about 60 - 75 cents a gallon.
