Watching different game highlights from the 2019 season tonight because why not and this play always stands out. Crazy to think how the season may have played out differently if we don’t convert there.

In an amazing season with so many incredible moments this play will always be my favorite. That feeling of “holy shite we have something special” after we score

I’ll never forget being at that game watching that play unfold on the same 40 yard line and leaning over to a Longhorn fan and saying, if you come after Joe here, he might make you pay.

Unbelievable moment I’ll never forget.

Thanks for the link!

That first defender kind of gave up on the play - he must have thought that Jets was simply going out of bounds. A slightly bad angle and Jets made him pay dearly!!

Love it!

It was a casual conversation during the game with an opposing fan in their stadium.

I’m no tough guy like you Bro

That was probably the turning point of the season. You don't get that first down and the season unfolds a totally different way. You get the first down with JJ and the season is something for the history books. That 2019 team is mentioned with the 2001 Miami Hurricanes. As being the best College football team. If LSU beats Alabama in 2011 for the Championship that's another LSU team to be mentioned among the greats.

The most amazing thing about that play is the physical position Burrow was in when he released. That ball went 20 yards in the air, it wasn't just a short dump pass.

Yeah, #7 for Texas was Caden Sterns. He was a 5* safety in high school. I remember thinking how sweet it was at the time that he didn't make the tackle, because at one point in his recruiting LSU was favored to land him.

When the 3rd and 17 occurred, I turned to my wife and said it was a Heisman moment.

Old LSU probably runs balls, forces Texas to use last timeout, then holds on for dear life.

That play was such a huge shift for LSU football

Coach O, whether you like him or not told Slinger and Brady to keep the accelerator to the floor. He knew at the defense had not jelled yet. Its a good thing they did too because Texas came right back after that score.

People blame Todd Harris for one of the Texas TDs, he's coming in late to try and break up the play. Aranda said later that Queen should have had deeper coverage to undercut the pass, and he played it better later in the season when he got that Int at Bama.

Also, we had a number of guys get hurt in the game. Chaisson, Glen Logan and Rashard Lawrence all went out and missed the next few games.

Maybe

We did still have the lead with the ability to pin them back from that spot on the field

—The Canes may be “mentioned” but their record against top 10 and top 5 teams fades in comparison to 2019 LSU.
