How is this affecting your site?
I know most gulf coast facilities really struggle when it gets this cold but add snow and ice, I’d imagine it’s not a great combo.

The neighbor is a plant baw and his wife has been home alone for a few days now. Drank some beers and margaritas with her. Make sure her fire is staying lit in the living room so she is warm.

Just trying to be a solid neighbor for my buddy while he is stuck at the plants.

The sun is coming out now and lines are starting to pop. Fortunately it’s just safety showers so far.

Been stuck here since Monday AM and not going home until Thursday PM.

They’re feeding us and accommodating us the as much as they can as far as comfort.

Being compensated VERY well. Once I get out of here Thursday, I’ll be off for a week.

We’re surprisingly still running without to many issues which is crazy. Potable normally freezes pretty quick then it goes to shite but it didn’t this time. Biggest issue is our railcar/tank truck scales are fricked from the snow so we can’t load anything

They just extended our lock in till tomorrow afternoon which a lot are not happy about, but we’re getting triple time around the clock

Edit: I take that back. Day crew just said it’s been a nightmare since we handed it off to them this morning lol

Everything here stayed running. Whole place is up minus a few items. Spent a couple years reinforcing freeze protection after '21.

Good to see a LOT of work pay off as well as see our funds weren't wasted.

Getting an hourly wage while you sleep sounds pretty awesome. Getting triple time during that sleep is

Guys at our site that volunteered have been locked in since Monday evening. Had all protections in place well ahead of the rest of the site. No big issues so far except for the weight gain since they have cooked big pots of food every day.

Friend who works maintenance at Westlake South says they have a crew that's staying inside meaning they're getting paid 24 hours on the clock.

Other friend at sasol says they're on 12s with a day and night crew.

Jealous. What plant?

Our Cogen and water treatment plants are suffering and the other ones are up and down as well.

Left the plant life almost two years ago. Had many hurricane and freeze lock ins. I don’t miss that part of it at all. The walls close in on you quick. The extra money at the end is nice, but was never worth it for me. Others would disagree. To each their own. Cheers to the ones out there fighting the good fight. Today and tomorrow are the fun part- finding out what kind of shape the units are actually in as lines start to thaw and leaks show themselves.
