The dude is probably worn the frick out and still a bit shell shocked. Anybody with any humanity would have been wavering on the inside up until the last minute. He just walked away from his playoff bound football team to come coach here. If you were any sort of competitor at any point in life, you’d have an idea of how hard that would be to do, no matter the reward. And your primary thought is “I wonder if the guy even wants the job”?

I’m pretty good at seeing the negative side of things, but good lord man, get a grip.

I’ll join in too, though I thought there was a chance we’d get him, I wouldn’t have bet on it. However, I will stand behind my opinion that all the done deal folks were dead arse wrong. This deal was shaky until the bama game was over.

He’s guessing. Lane coaching or not coaching in the playoffs has nothing to do with LK being announced as LSU’s coach.

This is quite obviously the most likely scenario. Not Auburn winning, but the fact that LSU has been overly confident while LK’s decision has been blowing in the breeze, waiting for all options to reveal themselves, this whole time.
