Bring Denbrock back. Or hire someone else whose veteran. Sloan is average at best. And making Kelly call plays all year seems less than ideal. It’s the last missing piece for us to win a natty next year.

Denbrock going out for a smoke after the first drive and not coming back until the late 3rd quarter is the reason they lost.

Notre Dame’s offense is dog shite bad. They’ve won with defense and a horrible schedule with a couple of lucky breaks in the playoffs.

Probably got half a pack in while walking around the block to College Football Hall of Fame & back.

Denbrock isn’t happening. His wife wants to be close to home and family. He gave it a shot but she was miserable in Louisiana. BK hires great assistants. Some better than others. We’ll be fine.

Uh....really? Matt House...Great? Those initial secondary coaches? Great?

Brian Polian....great?

I'd say Brian Kelly's been a mixed bag on hiring assistants...at best.

Come on, he made a mistake. House looked great after year 1 and completely shite the bed year 2. Kelly then fired the entire staff and fixed the issue. He addressed the coaching problem and got who he could on defense with our limited NIL money in year 2. The NIL money issue was addressed and now he has addressed the talent issue as best he could. Outside of being completely outbid by Michigan and Texas, which will happen because we don’t have that kind of money, he did a great job.
Kelly made mistakes year 1 and 2 but has he not addressed them? He wasted JD5 with House but nobody saw that god awful defense happening after the year House had in year 1.
In all seriousness, what more could he have done to fix the defense and talent issues the last 2 years? Sloan might be your only weakness but at the time, we thought it would get us Underwood, but $12m made Sloan irrelevant. Is it all Sloan or we’re our issues more of not having Hilton back the safeties up and Chester sucking arse at C? That offense looked completely different when Hilton came in to form? I don’t know for sure but we will find out week 1 because now Sloan has 3 game breakers at WR with tons of speed to burn and size with Hilton, Brown and Anderson. Then throw in Anderson, Green and maybe Parker. That’s a huge upgrade at WR compared to Lacy and Daniels.

First off, Denbrock LEFT US after last season to be closer to his aging parents. At least, that was the reason given. And if true, I can respect that and wish him nothing but the best.

Secondly, he had the three best rookies in the fricking NFL this year on his offense last year. One who was a Heisman winner, another who should’ve won the Biletnikoff, and the other had the most TD catches in the country last year. He’d have taken a step back this year as well. And y’all would’ve been bitching to high heavens about him if he’d have stayed.

ND still has a severe lack of talent at the skill positions and does not have a difference maker at qb.

From what I saw, Denbrock is not the answer.

An O-line coach who knows how to teach run blocking is the answer. That’s a huge missing piece of this offense

Chip Kelly put on a clinic last night. Power run game. Spread concepts mixed in. Creative. Pay that man.

Kelly needs to figure out how to make his teams more physical and less finesse. It starts with the way we practice.

Denbrock is average, after his first 15 scripted plays he turned into Sloan.

It's funny. House put up a top 30 defense year 1 with the infamous "we only had 38 scholarship players" and all of a sudden yall think he fell of a cliff? Come to terms that our defensive players sucked the last 2 years, and you'll realize that every single "bad" assistant went right back to their NFL teams without have to look to hard except for Steeples.

Yall can blame House all you want, but the best LSU player from last year in the NFL was undrafted. Speights. All of our DTs who left all have missed MULTIPLE games as healthy scratches.

He about killed his QB in the first drive.

OSU was going to adjust to that and Riley would not have made it out of the game.

We beat OM in OT and Arky and BK gave everyone four weeks off.
