Bride Knew - Daily Mail

'More than a decade ago, the woman and her boyfriend of four months decided to go to a magistrate to get married because she didn't want the attention that comes with having a big wedding.
...
The couple "had been married [for] about 60 seconds" when the judge noted that he loved officiating weddings and would be even happier if they came back to see him in 10 years to update him on their relationship.

The bride agreed to see him, joking, "Hopefully I fit in the same dress."

"My husband of about 70 seconds did not miss a beat, and he said 'or smaller,'" the woman continued, noting that those two words later led to a fight.

She scanned her husband's face for context clues, but he wasn't laughing.

"I died inside and I froze like a statue. I just felt like I couldn't even breathe," the TikToker recalled. It felt like the beginning of the end of their relationship — and it was.
...
Flash forward to the week of their tenth wedding anniversary, and the man asked for a divorce.

The woman initially stayed in the marriage due to "psychological abuse" and "gaslighting" from her husband. "He convinced me that I was crazy and dramatic, and I'm none of those things actually," she said.'

I worked with a girl a while back that was all in love and planned this big arse wedding her father paid $40,000 for.

On the plane ride to their honeymoon the groom states "I think I made A Mistake".

They were divorced within 6 months

a bottle of champagne, Frank Sinatra playing on a Bluetooth speaker in my fiance's purse, a walk through Edwin Warner Park to a scenic overlook and my good friend who now works for governor Lee had legal status to marry and he charged us $50 which was the minimum he could legally charge. Oh and my wife's bff who was a professional photographer took pics and was the witness came with us.

13 years this month. Best thing that ever happened to me.

Just shows how crazy women are. She got divorced 10 years later and she’s been holding on and seething about a joke her ex said for 10 years.

It’s so odd to me that women get so offended at the mere suggestion of losing a few pounds. As if we’re all supposed to pretend she’s perfect. To me as a guy, if someone I’m close to said “hey, you’re looking a little heavy lately”. I’d be like really? I gotta drop a few. I really don’t get it.

She's been effectively been able to monetize this trauma, good for her bank account but not for her mental welll-being.

I hate tiktok. I really do. I don't care if other people like it.. Enjoy it all you want, but I just don't find a lot of the shite on there that people find entertaining... entertaining. Then it gives bitches like this a platform to tell the world about her life.. I don't give a frick about her or that its possible her husband said it nervously joking? But all you need is some bullshite story and use the right hashtags then all of a sudden her shitty story pops up in people's feed.

Entertain me. Do some shite that will wow me or that you will bust your arse trying to do. Play a joke on people, but don't do some random stupid shite just for views.. be creative. Make me laugh. Or show me someone busting their arse.. Or people almost or actually coming to blows over some stupid shite. Your relationship doesn't entertain me

There is a time and a place for all things. Your wedding day not being the time or place for a comment like that. Never ever going to go over well, and it will NEVER be forgotten you said it that day.

We really don’t know the context. For all we know, she had been talking about losing weight for months before the wedding. From the guy’s perspective, him saying “or smaller” might have been meant as encouragement since it would mean she achieved her goal of losing weight and could even fit in a smaller dress than now. He most likely did not mean it as a slight against her weight, but rather envisioning a future where she achieved her goals.

But a decade later, after a divorce, she’s bringing it up like he was being demeaning and calling her a fatass because she wants to make him look as bad as possible.
