Confirmed by DA himself: Loomis did not want him fired

DA went on Jay Glazer’s podcast and said that the day after the Panthers game, Loomis went into DA’s office and told him behind closed doors that the decision to fire him was not his.
Christ…

We already knew that. It was Gayle decision. Loomis incapable of doing it so Gayle stepped in.

Against firing worst coach in the NFL…still gets to be in charge of replacement hire…. This is fine

Why does Loomis still have a job then?? God I wish I had that type of job security he does.

How can you let Loomis hire a new coach when he didn't want to fire the last coach he hired who was a failure? And then goes out of his way to communicate to the fired coach that this wasn't his decision.
That's the point you fire Loomis right there because it's clear ownership and management aren't operating on the same page.

I’m not spending another dollar on the Saints until Loomis is gone, and I’ve spent a lot (we even go to the international games). Enough is enough.

God I hope Loomis gets caught tomorrow with a dead hooker in his trunk. At this point it’s either that or death for us to have some hope of getting rid of him.

We already knew this, but damn this mofo knows he’s bulletproof he doesn’t give af what he says or who he says it to, he operates with impunity. He legit is not scared of the front office at all in any way and acts like he is the one who is the owner. It’s pretty hard to believe and somehow at the same time it’s not.
frick this dumb pos, how can anyone look at this guy and what he’s done here and be happy. I don’t get it. It’s fricking maddening.

I actually appreciate DA for this because it puts just a little more pressure on Gayle to get rid of Loomis, even if it’s futile.

Allen: "When I think about getting fired, I really think about, this is your company, this is your organization, you have the right to do whatever you want with that. I don't look at it as, I failed. I look at it as, they just decided they wanted to go in a different direction."

You'll be saving money for a very long time. Because he isn't getting fired anytime soon. He's got the most secure job in the NFL/NBA.

I’ve had to do things to subordinates back in the day that I didn’t agree with, that leadership wanted done.
When I did those things, I never told the subordinate it wasn’t my decision. They always thought it was my decision.
Other than being terrible at his job, I would fire Loomis just for that.

Players had turned on Allen. Some had lost faith in him and several lost trust in him.
It became disfunctional for him.
He had to go
