All I know of is the Republic Services / Colonial landfill in Sorrento…is there another option?

Is it still useable? If so, post an ad on FB marketplace or similar that you're giving it away, and someone will surely take you up on it.

This. If it’s still in working condition, someone will take it.

Anytime I see a suggestion like this I can't help but remember seeing a Home Depot shopping cart out on the Twin Spans. Halfway out, not like at the shorelines.

Did they shut down the powerline dump spot on 74? That seems a popular spot. A car sat there for 3 or 4 weeks a couple yrs ago as it started to slowly vanish.

I sold one years ago for $40 on facebook marketplace. Had a broken base, but the goal post and hoop were still good. It was gone within a day

Place it in front of your house near the street curb the day before garbage pick-up day. Place a sign on it.that says FREE. It will be gone quickly. I've done this many times with different things. People ride around looking for scrap metal. Good money can be made from doing this.

I'll go one step further than HB

The words 'FREE. PLEASE TAKE' on a piece of cardboard have never let me down.

This. I listed my dad's old grill with a rusty bottom for free. It was gone in two days. I would not pay $20 for it, but someone wanted it for their garage and took it quickly.

If it is in good shape, but it on Facebook market for $5. This will keep the scrappers away. (Same thing you do with kittens and puppies. Keeps the snake owners away.)

I dropped one off in mall city a while back. We were working on some building renovations. I loaded it up onto my trailer and dropped it off next to the dumpster. It was gone before lunch.

1-800-GOTJUNK will come get it for a price.

There’s a lot of scrap guys that will too. Look in the “what’s going on in AP” FB page and search scrap or junk removal and you’ll find someone. I found someone to haul a whole load of scrap to the dump in sorrento for $60 + cost of the dump.

If you didn't fill the base and it toppled over and broke the backboard then just haul it to a dump.

You will have to pay for that though.

If it's still usable put it out front with a free sign and someone will take it.
