He is 101 yards away from the most rushing yards by a RB in a season (Dickerson did it in 16 game season, however).

He can break that vs the Giants.

But do you risk one of your best players going down with injury in a completely meaningless game before the Playoffs?

I think the obvious answer is no but a lot of people seem to think you let him go for the yardage record*

I kinda hate Erick Dickerson so yes.

But it would be monumentally dumb of the Eagles to play him.

Giants defense might pull a Brett Favre to get him the record and try to get that 1st overall pick back

How can people say he is gonna break a record when he literally gets to play in more games than the previous “record holder”? It’s not the same

Eric Dickerson played in more games than the guy he took the rushing title from.

Did Dickerson also not break the record?

If Saquon breaks the record, is he MVP?

Dickerson broke OJ Simpson's record who set the mark in 15 games. So Dickerson did the same thing Saquon might do.

That makes no damn sense, Dickerson broke it with 16 games, Originally set by OJ who did it in 14 and OJ passed Brown who originally set it in 12 games and broke his own record when they expanded to 14 games. Everyone has broken the record with the benefit of an expanded season.

Also Dickerson did it in 379 carries. Saquon is currently at 345 carries and averaging more yards per carry than Dickerson did that season.

Well, previously, everyone in the 2000 club except for OJ Simpson played in 16 games. OJ only played in 14. Yet, people still say Eric Dickerson holds the all-time rushing record for a single season. Maybe if they solely went by ypg then we wouldn't be having this discussion, but they don't. Same goes for other sports that have lengthened their regular seasons.

Id let saquon decide.

What he has done this season is pretty surprising in the modern nfl

He’s had 60 carries the last two weeks. I think the goal was to get him to 2,000 yards, then shut him down.

No, it wouldn't even be a legit record

Are they going to play the starting OL? I think that's the question. If you play the starting OL, you play Saquon.

I mean Dickerson retired 31 years ago and yet we are talking about and interviewing him this week.

It’s not nothing. It’s a legit longstanding record.

Let Barkley decide. If he wants it. Let him.

I think they’ll give him the opportunity to make that call
