Good luck baws. I’m sitting this weekend out…hard to run dogs in the incoming weather today and our club is 4 hours away. Not gonna drive that far to just hunt tomorrow.

Hot, little rainy
.308 in a big enclosed box stand to stay dry

Forecast cleared up a lot for me overnight. About to get hit by your rain though. Hoping deer move right after it passes

ETA: whoever was talking about taking their son hunting and dealing with lady bugs yesterday, did you hunt my stand? as soon as I got in this stand I could smell them. Turned on my phone flashlight to get settled and there might be 500 dead ones on the floor

Rapides box stand
Brought a friend from from work who takes care of a lot of things for me.
Hope he can get a doe but my luck he’ll kill a wall hanger.

Edge of a loud thunderstorm is catching us right now but soon to pass.

Rain finally settled down a little, had a spike come through at 7 before the bottom fell out. About to go do a little creeping around after this rain . Mature bucks only today.

Had the grendel out this morning after hogs. Got 3. Testing thermals out.

Brought out the tikka in .270 and sitting the stand with rain. I figured I’m behind and haven’t taken a deer yet and all my gear is for rain.

Might as well hunt hard and dodge tornadoes. We already had one around 8:30.

Let the deer rest. 33 keepers before the thunderstorms ran us off. Caught well over 60. 5-6 over 2lbs. Bottom left was 2.9.
