From SI.com:

What Led to the Decision? What Made Michigan Attractive?

"Knowing who I am as a person, education is a big thing for me. Michigan probably has one of the best educations in college period outside of Ivy League schools. That's one of the things that stood out."
------------------------------------------------------

Kid just wants a great education! Wants to be able to get a great job when he graduates (LOL). Had NOTHING TO DO WITH MONEY! Losing him may have been a blessing in disguise, I think.

Educating himself how to handle tens of millions of dollars, because he isnt there to go to class.

Funny how like most of us he saw no issue with an LSU education until Meeechigan wrote him a big check.

Scumbag.

I flipped for the education instead of just committing to Michigan from the start.

Money was definitely not the reason I committed to a team that had a down year and spent all of their money on me instead of being big players in the transfer portal.

Fk him, used LSU to get more green backs. He was never going to LSU, if he was he would have never even talked to MI. So his a$$ is tiger bait! These damn 5* QB's never pan out anyhow.

That 4 million he just got for next year done bought him a PR team. Education isnt in the top ten reasons he's at Michigan.

Who cares? Let it go. The kid signed with the biggest university in his home state. Why are some LSU fans still talking about this kid? I know that some people get caught up in recruiting and who verbally commits but until they actually sign, a verbal commitment does not mean anything.

LSU fans are more obsessed with coaches ( Wade) or players (Underwood) who don't coach or play for LSU, than current coaches or players for LSU.

If, please Lord, if we get to play Michigan while he’s a starter, I would love to see him take a beating of biblical proportions. It would be better if QB’s were not protected from the defense, but a few Penalties might be worth the yardage…

Knowing himself like he do, and being so commited to education, then why didn't he sign with one of the Ivy League Schools? Ivy league education surely is more valuable to him than the Michigan money.

I wouldn’t get too upset over how a kid answers a question in a fluff piece like that.

It was money. That makes him like every other player in college. It’s not an indictment on his character at all.

Let it go man.

Back before NIL this would have been the correct answer or it was close to home blah, blah, blah. Now it just sounds disingenuous. I’m sure his family/agent told him to say this but nobody will believe a word of it.
