Should also list whoever had a hand in writing said bill.

Crazy that this is not alteady the case.

Won’t pass this year, but needs to be a DOGE priority to back this
There needs to be more public debate on bills

I figured this was already in place. Wow. SMH.
Our federal government is dismal.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

How about adding that every bill must be submitted for public review 15, 20 or even 30 days before it can be voted on......

It can be tracked
but yeah they make it difficult
or not as easy as it should be

They won’t pass it; probably won’t even get brought to a vote.
DC swamp isn’t going to make their jobs a bit more difficult just to benefit our country. Ridiculous.

Tim speaks the truth. He has the most balls of any politician I am aware of. Except, of course, MTG.

It's still public knowledge. People can find out, if they want to.
I've just never looked into how.

These titles, e.g. inflation reduction act, are fricking stupid and just plain lies.
In addition to the name of the sponsor I want to know who actually wrote the damn thing.
Too many staffers, who are soon to be lobbyists, are simply tasking groups/corporations to write it for them.

Every bill made and submitted already has that information attached to it. Just not as direct notes in the bill directly.
You can look the info up, it's just a separate process.
Tho, some sites posting up bills will already include such info.

Very few look it up. But, the legislator would know the spotlight is on them, and should cause them to know that there may be consequences.

The info is there but most Americans have no clue how to find it.

They should take the average reading spread and apply the rules for truck drivers (maximum hours worked per day with mandatory breaks) to determine the amount of time before a bill can be brought to the floor. 200 words per minute, 500 words per page would mean the 1500 page bill would take over 60 hours to read. That would be a week and a half of 8 hour days

Strange that isn't the case now.
In the Texas Legislature, every amendment shows who offered it.
