FFS. I’m angry but I’m gonna pay it. We are suckers.

Hi EugeneDogwood, ? YouTube TV has always worked hard to offer you the content you love, delivered the way you want, with features that make it easy to enjoy the best of live TV. ? To keep up with the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service, we’re updating our monthly price from $72.99/month to $82.99/month starting January 13, 2025. ? We don’t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this has an impact on our members. We are committed to bringing you features that are changing the way we watch live TV, like unlimited DVR storage and multiview*, and supporting YouTube TV’s breadth of content and vast on-demand library of movies and shows. ? The price of your YouTube TV Base Plan membership will change in your first billing cycle on or after January 13, 2025, and will be charged to your payment method on file going forward. To view your current plan, go to Settings > Membership for updated information. If you are currently on a trial or promotional price for the Base Plan, that promotion is still honored and unchanged. ? We hope YouTube TV continues to be your service of choice, but we understand that some of our members may want to cancel their subscriptions. As always, family managers have the ability to pause or cancel anytime. You can find more information in our Help Center. ? With lots of exciting shows and live events ahead in the new year, we’ll continue to strive to deliver the best of TV, all in one place. Thank you for being a loyal YouTube TV member. ? Sincerely, The YouTube TV team

It's still the best service and cheaper than cable.

What did you think was going to happen when you cut the cord?

More and more subscriptions will be necessary and the price of subscriptions will go up.

Is it? I only watch one tv so it’s really not. The only value it provides is I can watch on my iPad when I travel so I’ll probably keep it, but it’s not cheaper anymore

nope

at this point i'd be saving money buy getting a cable/internet bundle, and it wouldn't have a delay on live spots

This has finally happened (not that it was hard to predict) but here it is for sure. I actually think it's more expensive than cable now when you factor in all of the streaming services. Too much greed to ever be sustainable.

If I could get just live sports year round for $40 to $50 a month I would do it.

Literally just USA for the Premier League, ESPN Networks, Fox Sports, and one or two others.

I do not give a shite about the Hallmark Channel or Univision or TLC

You are 100% correct. I have a cutoff number in mind but, didn’t think it would get so close, so quick.

I’m switching back to cable.

All I watch is CNN, HGTV and Bravo.

Hulu live keeps doing the same thing. I hear about every increase from my wife.

They may price themselves into cable being competitive but so far it’s still cheaper depending on what channels you get.

Just looked at directv options and the choice package, that includes more channels than YouTube and has SEC network, is coming in at 79.99

Just like Airbnb started to get greedy, people will eventually take the path of least resistance. People went back to hotels, they'll go back to cable if cord cutting gets too expensive

I use it solely for college football.

Ergo, they’ve got me by the balls.

I’ll basically pay whatever it takes to watch Ryan Day kick me in the emotional dick on a yearly basis.
