For giving money to TAF or Bayou Traditions.
Like signed mini helmets or posters etc.
I feel like a lot more people would donate if they offered stuff like that

Exactly.

Even a tshirt or a coffee mug would make it much easier for people to donate $40 to. Then scale up from there.

This is simple fundraising

And make the site easy to pay to with a few clicks, allow PayPal, Venmo, Apple
pay, etc. so people can just scan and go at games or whenever. Have hot chicks walk around and solicit as a weekend side job on Gameday

The barrier LSU is dealing with isn’t lack of trinkets, it’s that our state population and thus fan base is working class and poor.

I said that from day one, our first attempt had a lot of lame stupid shite.

Ole Miss and bama were giving fans that donated some cool things. LSU is like here is a video of an athlete.

It can’t be much to produce a cool shirt and send to someone donating 25 a month or like a mini helmet signed by a athlete for 1k in a year.

What about a tote bag and a copy of Ken Burns's "Baseball" DVD?

Seriously think how many people lined up for those Yeti cups in Tiger Stadium because they were “exclusive”

Bayou Traditions yeti cup $200 a piece, perfect business gifts, Father’s Day, etc.

Drop exclusive ones with laser engraved signings from players for $1,000 a piece until they sell out

People will be proud to wear/rep/show that they are donating to NIL. Just put a little effort into it

It’s a multi layer issue. Mr fat Scott was suppose to be a wizard at driving donations, news flash he isn’t. He is a good boy that listens to the biggest donors and does as they command. He isn’t good at getting every fan in.

At LSU for us to continue to be a power we have very few large donors, we have a boat load of medium and small. You have to do things to get the medium and small.

LSU was flailing in that area, despite the fancy NIL videos and all the claims we made that we were NILSU. It was really just we had a few hot girls that were decent athletes and they got a lot of money. We didn’t have a system ready to go to funnel money to our sport that matters most. Now Scott will blame the la and ncaa for unclear rules but that didn’t stop Alabama, ole Miss and Ohio state from building up war chest. Alabama is very similar to us in fanbase make up.

LSU as is usual with LSU got caught with its pants down. We didn’t have a good collective and we were even worse at getting people to donate.

Alabama people aren’t that much richer than the average la boy. Alabama was just better at getting money because they ain’t scared of bullshite.

TD has more creative and better ideas than what our brilliant Scott can come up with.

The crazy part is TAF was at one point ahead of its time.

Cheap arse LSU would use NIL collective money to pay for the incentives.

Clemson has been doing this for years. You aren’t a Clemson fan if you don’t have an iptay sticker on your car. I think it started with I pay $10 a year. Now it’s probably $200 a month.

8&4 is similar with their 12th man foundation stickers.

Exactly. You do something that is only offered once a year for people who sign up for yearly donation and people who are “completionists” and collectors will always want the full collection, be it bobble heads, cups, prints, etc.

Tap into this mindset

You are buying your roster, and hopefully a win.

With donations, you are willingly giving your money to an entity with no expectation in return. That's how donations work.

They are not fundraising. They are not selling plate lunches for a profit. They are asking you to give your money up.

Yeah I think getting some signed merchandise would be cool and cheap for them.

I would say experiences would be much better than physical gifts. Locker room tours, sideline access, meet and greets, hitting lesson from a baseball player, courtside seats, away game trips for top donors, etc...

God looking back this was so cringy and lame. LSU thought they were out in front of this by putting an ad in Times Square, bringing some athletes out there, and shooting a video

Years later were still behind the 8 ball and not doing pretty basic shite that could make it easier

If you follow Bayou Traditions or go to LSUsports.net, they have giveaway offers all the time. Prints, rings, meet and greets, etc.
