a cognitive distortion that involves overestimating the likelihood of a negative outcome. It can be a way of thinking that can lead to anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.
Yet here we are again. Geezus this board needs to get a grip.

If they overreacted about everything in their actual life like they do here, there’s no way they could make enough Prozac to fill the scripts.

People from the South are, in general, extremely emotional, especially in Louisiana.
The same thing that makes this fanbase great when things are good, make it awful when things aren't.

dude, our 3rd string DE and 2nd string safety have hit the portal!!! the ship is sinking!

I don’t understand why an LSU fan would be upset with some guys leaving in portal or flipping.
We want players that want to play HERE ! And that can perform consistently. They guys are choosing to leave just as we will have 30 new players choosing to come here.

It isn’t just Us. LSU brings us pride and joy and a happiness like no other. I feel the same joy with LSU Baseball, Gymnastics and Basketball ?? etc. It’s such a big part of who we are as we grew up at LSU and lived inside (weekly) the pomp, pagentry, Mike, the Golden Band from Tigerland, our cheerleaders and Golden girls, and yes the magic of our beautiful stadium and last but not least the best fans in college sports.

The same emotion that drives catastrophe syndrome is what makes this fanbase so great.

The same people will be giddy with each portal transfer to LSU.

You’ve been posting here since 2008 and you really think this?

They are nothing more than crybaby Saints fans that double as LSU fans.

So bad things are actually good? Sounds about right

That sounds like the answer a person with catastrophe syndrome would give.
