Don't report commitments

When it comes to players like underwood, I wish LSU would have the policy of not making it known to the public that they wish to commit to LSU. If they sign with LSU, then let it be known. These out of state guys just use LSU for a bigger bounty. So tired of the decommitments over the past 15 to 20 years of these types of players.

You seriously think that the commitment would get leaked out???
I'd rather a coach have the marbles to tell a kid..... the moment you commit, all other visits to other schools are off the table.

Players announce their commitments, dummy.

It is a violation for schools to discuss recruits or commitments until they are signed.

Yeah, that’s what it is.

People on this board use to kill Dabo for having that rule

Just stop following recruiting, it makes time here less stressful.
NIL and free agency are ruining the fun

The only point in committing publicly in the current environment is leverage for the player. Rather than not reporting, fans just need to understand that it's really only the last two weeks of recruiting that matter for the top players. That's when all the real negotiations happen.

Or you could just not care. Until they’re on the field in an LSU uniform it doesn’t matter anyway.

They tell them to not commit until they're sure. I don't know what else you can do.

You're kidding, right? Those kids post it all over social media. LSU doesn't have to say word one and it would get out. And if LSU didn't people like you would be all up in arms about LSU not recruiting like they should. Maybe you should learn how to deal with disappointment like an adult.

That is what Dabo did and it worked for a while. Now they just ignore him.

I think NCAA needs to change the term from "committed" to something like "interested" or "interest level 1-10".
the term committed means "feeling dedication and loyalty to a cause, activity, or job; wholeheartedly dedicated" - this is certainly not the case with recruiting
I really think a change in the term would make sense

Y
I love how when things don’t go our way, our fans concoct some stupid idea to change the rules of engagement to benefit LSU. This wouldn’t help at all (having Underwood committed should help with other recruits) and if he had not committed Michigan still was going to shoot its best shot to land him.

Do away with the signing periods and permit players to sign at any time.
