Never been a big fan of the normal meal (turkey, ham, etc).
The wife and I chose to zag this year with a little surf and turf. Menu will be sea bass, filet, mashed potatos, asparagus.
Anybody else going non traditional?

I want to one of these years, I also get bored of the traditional fare. Personally want to try an Italian spread one of these years.

I eat some of the same meals 5, 10, 20 times a year….I think I enjoy traditional Thanksgiving once a year. Well, maybe 2 or 3 including leftover days ;)

We usually do the traditional fare, but have for years made enchiladas as a co-dish. They actually go well with turkey and there are never any left over.

We typically go non-traditional with my family.
We did lasagna this year. We’ve made pancakes and bacon, piaya, meatloaf, pulled pork, bbq other years.

I like traditional simply for the couple of days worth of left overs

Nah. The tradition is turkey
Might as well have MLS on the tv instead of the Cowboys and Lions

Going non traditional. Believe wife and son with his new wife want steak and shrimp.
I'm ok with it.

Always stuff around 300 crawfish heads and do 2 pots of crawfish bisque. Still smoke a couple turkey breasts too though.

I would rather have a nice steak than turkey or ham.

We don't get a tradition by trying to be cute.

We did a taco bar one year it was the single best thanksgiving meal i have ever had.
It was a spread with anything you would want to put on a taco, burrito, nachos, or quesadillas.
It was glorious

Mostly traditional but imported some Cubans in the extended family and we’ve added Cuban pork and black beans - great addition.

my mom(no pics,) did that a few years when we were growing up, as a kid I'd eat anything put in front of me, I kind of dig the traditional Thanksgiving fare but will never be able to have her Thanksgiving cooking again

I never tasted turkey till I was 17 years old. We always ate wild game . Robin jambalaya, deer, rabbits, ducks and poule d’eau.
This year I’m eating sac a lait.
