Brian Kelly says he understands fans' frustration, BUT

He's still "building the roster and program at the same time". So, how many years is it supposed to take now? He said it himself that three years would be enough time. Yet here we are with more bullshite and excuses. This crawfishing is getting old.

He meant year 3 of his next contract extension.
Be patient.

Ok coach show us what you got with the last games of the season!

Look at the roster. We are missing Soph and RS Soph. There is a gap in the roster. If you can't understand that, then you're exceptionally short-sighted.
We will not compete with the NC contenders until the roster is built out. We've had Frank for 2 years, Brad for 3 years, Bo and Corey for 1 year and Austin Thomas for less than 1 year. Chill out and let them cook.
The reality is that if you fire CBK before they can get the players in the door, you set LSU back another 5 years.

Do you think the team has improved over the year?

I don't think this a load of crap but he has to know
1. The expectations when he was hired (which I think he did)
and
2. To make adjustments and fix things and fix them promptly. I don't expect LSU to win the national championship next year but I expect to see major improvements. It's a must.
He's paid too much to put out such poor of a product. (No disrespect to the players intended)

Would be nice to see safeties make aggressive tackles. Will it be three more years before they're coached on that?
Posted on 11/23/24 at 2:50 am to Jack Crevalle
We should have been in the playoffs and should be every year.

It’s unreal how some of you exonerate this guy regularly.
I didn’t realize it took half a decade to build a roster to beat Billy Napier. Good to know.

I’m looking for that year 5 kicker to come in as a true freshman and be an upgrade.

^ All of this!
CBK has a great track record, but he is green as a pool table vs coaching against the talent (coaches/players) in the SEC. Kelly unfortunately underestimates time as well as he does LSU's opponents. Apparently, he "believed" what worked at his previous stops would work at LSU and in the SEC. The team & it's performance 3 years in is built like a PAC 12 or Big 10 team <-- won't work. 3 years in at 100 mil & still in a learning curve in on the AD and LSU fan isn't happy. The latter is certainly understandable.
Everyone want's LSU to be "back" in year 3 because he did say "judge him by year 3. <-- Believing LSU could be stacked with talent (for the long haul) in that time frame, is on LSU Fan.
He over promised with the Year 3 comment, that's a rookie move for a retail associate, much less for any individual of significance. <-- LSU fan should have wanted to believe instead of believing that HS.
Question remains can CBK get it done? "I want to believe." However, the turnover rate in players/coaches is difficult to navigate. His good decisions have been outnumbered & negated by his poor decisions. The team is not good/not built currently. Most LSU fans still think he sounds intelligent in press conferences so there's that.
Personally my .02 to compete for NC the team needs to have enough playmakers on Offense/Defense, that they spill into Special Teams. Year 5/6 should have been his timeline for being consistent & possibly competing based on his approach to build through recruiting. LSU fan would have broken the internet if he said that so here we are.

Better not lose to Vanderbilt. He Will permanently lose the fans if that happens.

This is called gaslighting folks. BK special. Losing 4 games is a hell of a lot different than winning every game we play.

What bothers me most about Kelly is that he sets the high expectations and then talks out the other side of his mouth when he doesn't meet them.

Lose to Vandy and he will really see what it’s like to coach at LSU.
