Election for 12/7 go out and vote- 4 amendments

The legislature, or SOS, or whoever makes the decision to hide these things on random election dates is pure scum.

Voted and nobody but me and tumbleweeds in there this morning.

What’s the plan straight no all the way down?

Also the terrible wording of these things makes you question WTF is going on. Won't be able to early vote, so have not really looked into these, but this is what you see:
quote:
CA No. 1 (ACT No. 405, 2024 - SB 177) - Provides relative to the investigative authority and membership of the judiciary commission
CA No. 2 (ACT No. 406, 2024 - HB 48) - Provides relative to the timing of consideration and required information of appropriations bills
CA No. 3 (ACT No. 407, 2024 - HB 49) - Allows the legislature to extend a regular session for a limited time period for a specific purpose
CA No. 4 (ACT No. 409, 2024 - SB 119) - Provides relative to the administration of tax sales of immovable property
Then you get to look further into it to decide what the hell is going on:
quote:
CA1: Do you support an amendment to allow the supreme court to sanction a judge upon an investigation by the judiciary commission, and provide that the recommended sanction shall be instituted by the judiciary commission or by a majority of the supreme court, and to provide for the appointment of five members of the judiciary commission? (Amends Article V, Section 25(C); adds Article V, Section 25(A)(4))
CA2: Do you support an amendment to require that the legislature wait for at least forty-eight hours prior to concurring in a conference committee report or amendments to a bill appropriating money? (Adds Article III, Section 16(F))
CA3: Do you support an amendment to allow the legislature to extend a regular session in increments of two days up to a maximum of six days if necessary to pass a bill appropriating money? (Amends Article III, Sections 2(A)(3)(a) and (4)(a); Adds Article III, Section 2(A)(5))
CA4: Do you support an amendment to eliminate mandatory tax sales for nonpayment of property taxes and require the legislature to provide for such procedures by law; to limit the amount of penalty and interest on delinquent property taxes; and to provide for the postponement of property tax payments under certain circumstances? (Amends Article VII, Section 25)
Now, we need to look into each of these articles to determine what the current rules/laws are and how these amendments will actually change the current rules.

# 1 needs a yes vote
Gives SC authority to start investigations into shitty judges instead of waiting on commission recommendation

No is my default vote on LA Constitutional Amendments. However, after reading these amendments, I think I will be voting yes on all of them unless I can be educated about why I am wrong

OP should post the PAR analysis of the amendments. These are all over my head.
Edit:
PAR Link
My vote now after reading:
Amend 1: YES
Amend 2: YES
Amend 3: YES
Amend 4: YES
I went back and forth on 1, but I do think this judiciary commission reform may help with dealing with some of the bad judges in the state.

Everyone should be yes on 4. Our current tax sale procedure is unconstitutional.

I firmly believe when it comes to electing representatives, senators, vice-president, and President, that election must be held on its own, without any amendment, tax, or other regulatory issue seen on that ballot.
Likewise, for all other scenarios, there should be only 1 day per year for such election pertaining to those scenarios to take place.

Why?

To read them, figure out what they mean and any potential ramifications or unintended consequences, make an informed decision, and vote according to that decision.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but that's how a respectable person should approach such matters.
