Thank you notes: Printed or Hand Written?

Recently had a baby shower and my wife is handwriting thank you cards for all of the gifts. She did the same for everyone that sent us wedding gifts.
As she’s complaining about writing them, mainly because I’m not helping
, I suggest typing up the notes and printing them. She say she can’t do that because it’s wrong.
Who’s right? Who’s wrong?

You are wrong. Get used to it.

You are married, of course you're wrong.

Typing notes is impersonal as hell. Hand written thank you notes are one of the few bastions of civility left in this world.
You're arguing and you're wrong. It's hard enough to win a wife argument when you're right and even then you never truly win. You're arguing and wrong.

You hand write them, I send handwritten thank yous to customers every month. I can knock out 15 in just a short time. They don’t care what they say, most probably trash em, but a few love them. Just something have done for a long while.
Point being, it shouldn’t take but an hour to knock em all out.

Handwritten, always. Tell your pregnant wife you're sorry

It's crazy that this came up. We just received a thank you note in the mail for a wedding shower gift that we gave to a young family member (cousin, mid-20s). The font on the envelope and card were made to look handwritten but it was too perfect and evenly spaced to be real. They were definitely printed.
It came across to me as tacky and insincere. I feel that it's the least you can do for all of the people who took time to host a party and provide gifts to you.
Hell, why don't you just send an email?
Some old school traditions need to be continued in my opinion. I don't really give a crap about how busy you think you are.

Writing thank you notes has become a lost art and it's sad. But so many people now don't send any kind of thank you note that I'd be ok with a printed one or even an email.

Sheesh man. I hand write all my thank you’s & avoid emailing them if possible.

That's squarely a woman's job, like cookin', cleaning' and home makin'

I have always done hand written. Printed seems rather impersonal.

Handwritten. And congratulations on having the sex.

You hand write thank you notes. But also, the wife is the secretary of the relationship. All correspondence (thank you notes, etc.) are her responsibility.
