The Annual Holiday frick Fed Ex Thread

They delivered one of my wife's Christmas presents today- they left it by the center of the garage door. Right in the middle of the driveway. Thank goodness I was home and could go get it. God forbid they walk the extra 5-6 steps to put in under my covered porch where it's not easily visible to THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD!
I'm not even that worried about it getting stolen- we live in a nice gated neighborhood and never have trouble with things getting taken, but it still shouldn't be left out in the wide open.

My FedEx guys puts mine by the front door, your driver is lazy.

I have the same issue in Dallas. Front and center on front porch…in the rain. UPS and Prime tuck behind plants under the overhang.

FedEx drivers are independent contractors working on a brokered route. During the holiday season all bets are off…they’ll load a box into any vehicle that they can get. Cost of doing business and 90% of the time the consumer has no option as to the delivery service the provider chooses to use.
suck it up

Amazon left two medium sized boxes and 4 padded envelopes behind my garage door the other night. With rain in the forecast. At night.

I had a delivery driver put a gigantic TV box out in the open in the rain near my door once. This was even after I had called and asked that they don't deliver it to my house and I would go pick it up at the delivery center once it arrived. And they didn't even attempt to put it against my house under the overhang. Just left it essentially in my driveway.
I was furious.
Thankfully it was only out there for an hour or two before I got home and brought it inside, and the inside wasn't wet/damaged.

Yeah, not totally excusing the drivers for some basic professionalism and courtesy but my brother had a route when he was younger and the FED Ex business model really does nothing whatsoever to foster that dynamic.

Your driver sucks. Mine hides my packages well so nobody can steal them.

FedEx I really have never had issues with. At least their package diversion when you know you cannot just take off work to sign for something that requires it is free.
I just had to pay UPS $5.99 to do the same service.

FedEx said my address didn't exist so they offered to drop it off at a Walgreens for pickup.
Then they said that Walgreens didn't exist.

A few weeks ago the propane company we use said our address couldn't be found. It is the same address they've delivered propane to for years. I had to call India and get them to reschedule delivery. Everything has gone to shite.

Fedex ground are.
Fedex overnight are not.
There is a huge difference in the two companies. My ground driver looks like a strung out tweeker.

One of the UPS drivers near my work carries a bong in a backpack on the truck and hits it between deliveries. He said they can’t fire him because of his race.

Well, I guess Buck Strickland finally hung it up and sold, and Hank Hill retired.
Hank would have never let that shite happen on his watch!
