I'm starting to feel sick about the Murray trade

The whole line of that trade was to win now.
Without Zion that's not happening.
Instead of a young ascending asset, now we have an older vet that wants to win but on a bad team.
This franchise is fricked

The results of the trade are out of anyone’s control. Dejounte broke his hand 1st game in a Pels’ uniform. Sometimes bullshite happens, not anyone’s fault.

Murray was supposed to be Zion insurance at minimum. If we turn this season around and make the playoffs, he will have to be a main reason why. He looked awesome game 1 despite shooting like crap.

Any trade you make to build around Zion is a stupid trade because Zion isn’t someone you should build around

They need a true PG regardless. This team has trouble operating and closing games without one.

I wouldn’t. You see how arse we are without a point guard. He is also on a great deal and could be the starting PG post Zion and Willie Green era.
Of course though we’re gonna frick around and not be in the lottery this year.

This is so ridiculous but on brand for you.
LOL at Dyson being a ascending asset we traded him when his value was the highest, just waiting 1 more year his value would have dropped dramatically because he would be looking for a contract extension.
Dyson offense would never be good enough for what we need here.
Just the Bulls game showed how important DJ is, on a bad shooting night dude still had a huge impact on the game almost having a triple double without Zion and Trey.
When DJ comes back alot of people will change there tune.

Judging a trade after ten games is not the smartest thing to do especially when the guy you traded for hasn’t played 9 of those 10 games. The Hawks by the way with Dyson are 4-7; half a game better than us.

I think even without Zion out but having the other guys healthy with DJM back is going to be a pretty good lineup.

Have we thought about signing Dan Egenberg? His dunk looks sick on his commercial.

Correction. It was Zion’s fault for sitting out game 1 bc of his off court issues. Otherwise, Murray survives game 1.

Dyson is killing without Trae against the celtics on the road. Dude has 28 7 and 6. Damn lol. I know, like I said myself, its early but damn Dyson has been impressive this game.
Nance balling too.

Led the Hawks to a win on the road against the Celtics.

Daniels was very impressive. He was their go to guy. And Nance was swishing threes.
Meanwhile Dejounte will come back with pels probably 10 games under .500 lol

I said in the trade thread that we’d regret trading him in a couple years. Quite funny these threads are popping up one month into the season lol. Wasn’t expecting that.
I would have liked to see more of that Dyson Herb backcourt with Zion.

Post Willie Green era!! Please let it be sooner rather than later.

I was one of the few, maybe the only one, that wanted a BI/Herb for Trae deal instead of what we did. I tried telling everyone, Dyson would fit like a glove next to Trae.

Dyson was great last night.
Dyson is also still awful on offense. He's young and can improve but as of right now, it is not a guarantee he can even be a net neutral playoff rotation guy because he is so bad on the offensive side of the ball. The Murray trade was an all in trade, a no Brainer, unless we knew 7 of our top 8 dudes would get hurt.
We are the Pels, so maybe we should have known...
