It's the grand jury summons that sucks. Ask me how I know after spending almost a year on one in South Cackalacky.

I got called in once. Was there maybe an hour, two at the most. Only one case, wasn't paneled. Dismissed. Even got to fill out my own leave slip saying how many hours I was there (claimed the whole day).

I've only ever done county grand jury. It wasn't a bad experience at all. You really learn what is going on around you on a daily basis. It was the same as the Federal, we were on call for several months, but only did one four day stint and another three day during that timeframe.

Seems like I had one of those several years ago. Had to call a phone number every Monday or Tuesday morning for several weeks and they said yay or nay as to whether I needed to show up or not. That very well may have been State though. It was some sort of jury duty.

I have served on state, and federal juries. I have served in Grand Jury too. Just keep you r mouth closed and then go send some losers to jail. Your nation needs you. You are our hope and the promise of justice. A week of Grand jury will show you what a stinking septic tank of moral failure so many are.
On state jury duty, we had a momma sell her three year old daughter to a 60 year old man for a hundred dollars. He sexually assaulted her and then shot himself through the head as the PoPo men arrived to arrest him when they found out what he and the momma did. He did society a huge favor. We sent the momma to jail for a long time.
