I don’t think enough has been said about Nuss’ throw to Anderson

To tie the game. Simply an unreal throw.
Literally the perfect throw. One of the best throws you’ll see in college football all season.

He threw it when Anderson was behind the db by half a step... feet sliding to his left. Unreal feel and throw, and in THAT moment. The one to zavion before that, and the 2 zavion got hands on and almost caught for tds were also insane.
He has 2 bad stretches of like 1/6 and 1/5, but he wasn't bad. Rewatching all the dt pressure up the middle, He dealt with a very different pressure game vs dart. He needed to run more for sure, but he's always trying to slide away from pressure to keep throw option open. We're lucky to have him. Great throw, clutch as hell...
Also, Anderson might be mvp of the offense this yr. He has stepped up so much, with daniels and Hilton not providing the big yrs we expected from them.

You're correct, incredible throw. Joe or Jayden couldn't have done it better.

What’s crazy is that he also had Zavion wide-arse open underneath & I originally thought that’s who the throw was to.
But yeah, absolutely insane accuracy & fortitude from Nuss there. The guy makes some jaw-droppingly pinpoint throws. He’s still a bit raw, if you can believe it. He will be literally unstoppable with a little more experience & coaching by Kelly the QB Whisperer.

I’m going to be downvoted to smithereens but it was not a great play or a great throw by the QB; it was certainly not a perfect throw, which would have been caught over the shoulder where the defender could not have gotten within two feet of it. Also, it was single coverage right in front of the QB who had about 90 minutes to throw the ball.
Earlier on the drive, on third and 10, Nuss made an incredibly agile scramble, and with a defender clawing at him from behind, leapt in the air to throw a perfect strike to Mason Taylor. That was 10 times the play this one was.

There was a safety over the top, dumbass.
It was a perfect throw.

I was in the SEZ with the perfect vantage point. When Nuss threw that ball, it was so far in front, it looked like an incomplete - my heart sank - and I didn’t even have time to recover by the time it was caught & in for a TD. I felt like I missed the moment. I witnessed it - my emotions were just at the bottom of the roller coaster, it all happened so fast. It was amazing.

And it was 4th and 5. Damn, forgot that part.

Legit top shelf quality stuff

That will be one of the highlights when the draft gurus are talking about Nuss. That was an NFL throw.

Absolutely unbelievable throw. You need 5 yards, or the game is OVER. The guts to say forget that I’m going for 6… awesome.
And the trust in yourself as well as the man on the other end of your throw says a lot about this team.

You're right, great point OP. That throw was legendary, Nuss didnt have his best overall game but showed us what a winner he is coming through in the clutch.

He’s going to be playing on Sundays no doubt. Depending on how he finishes will decide if he’s the top pick or middle of the first round. Hes got it all for a first year starting QB.
He already has more TD passes than Burrow and Daniels in their first year at LSU. In a couple games he will have more yards also.

It wasn’t a post. It was a slant. lol, try again. If he does what you say the safety picks it off or breaks it up.

Considering that it was 4th and 5, the safer pass would have been to the under route to Thomas 0. It was more open and a high percentage throw. Glad we are discussing a successful throw.

That was a fricking unbelievable throw

I'm just glad Aaron Anderson is finally healthy.
I was hard on him last yr. I knew he could be this guy coming out of high school.
Zavion Thomas needs more touches. You can do so much more with the both of them.

And he followed that throw on the next toss with a winning one strike TD
