For CBK, a loss on Saturday might produce some questions about whether he can get LSU where it expects to go. Unlike Ole Miss, just making the CFP isn’t enough. LSU is supposed to win national titles. CBK three immediate predecessors did that. So if in year three he can’t even get LSU into a 12-team playoff, that will generate some angst. Do you agree? I think the heat will be on for sure. He should have paid more attention building a good defense.

His career isn't riding on this one game. Ole Miss is favored after all. Lose to Arky and A&M, then maybe.

Not sure favored has anything to do with it. We were favored against USC and most likely will be dogs vs A&M

With the amount of freshmen he is currently playing on defense and having a first year DC and first year OC I'm going to give him a couple of more years as far as playoffs and championships.Especially with the recruiting classes he is putting together for 2025 and 2026.I believe our defensive flaws will be taken care of by next year so 2025 and 2026 will be big years for us in my opinion. Especially 2026, As long as there is improvement and they are competitive with great classes coming I'm good.Ya'll need to get off of this 3 year BS.

Jesus Christ yall are dumb. The last 21 years have been the most successful run in school history. In that time, we have won 3 NCs and played for a fourth. This idea that LSU should win a NC by year 3 or it means a coach can't get it done is beyond stupid. Also in the last 21 years, LSU only makes the 12 team playoffs about half the time (actually a little less than half). So the idea that making the playoffs is nothing to celebrate is an even dumber take.

A loss here and playoff 12 is no longer an option. Just enjoy the games and hope for a winning season and a respectable bowl game. Reality.

This is also a dumb take that people spew on here in all sports. Every year there is 1 National Champion crowned in each sport. The odds that any school has the best team in the nation in any given year AND that they stay healthy AND that they get the breaks they need throughout the year is pretty slim. Its why guys like Saban are so highly regarded, winning NCs isn't easy.

As poorly as we have seen of the defense over the past two years and Kelly's inability to understand the weakness preseason of either year seems to be the issue. On the other hand, he has fielded two great offensive teams over the past two years that have provided enough fire power to overcome the defensive deficiencies. If Kelly can solidify the defense next year along with the offensive talent he is adding especially Underwood, I believe Kelly's job is more than safe. Ole Miss has a great team this year and will present quite a challenge but if we are seriously looking at both programs, LSU seems to be in better shape moving forward. If Kiffin finishes strong he will likely have a new home with several players following him.

I agree, he never won one at ND, and when he finally made the playoffs he got waxed by Bama,,,Lol. He will just win 9 or 10 games a year and LSU will always be mediocre. Just the facts.

Its funny how we are willing to give Baker this excuse, but not House. House came into a defense as a first-time coordinator, AFTER the recruiting cycle had already been completed and put together a top 30 defense with 38 scholarship players. Next year, defense looks like crap while playing 3rd and 4th year players who were lost in Cover 2, and then had to put 2 True Freshman DBs out there because its all we had.

I don't know if y'all know this, but a lot of the players producing right now, are actually House recruits. For his one single recruiting class, it was solid. Perkins, Whit Weeks, Singleton, Xavier, etc.

House wasn’t a first time DC. He was DC at Kentucky and fielded great defenses there. Baker has also dramatically improved our D with much of the same guys, so not sure where you want to go with this argument.

This list is retarded.

Two things get Kelly fired.

#1, he’s unable to build the roster to where it needs to be. Winning comes with the status of the program. Complaining about winning when the roster has holes is dumb. Now, if at some point it becomes apparent that he can’t get the roster where it needs to be then the conversation make sense.

2. Despite having an elite roster, LSU still isn’t competing. If this happens, then of course you have to consider options.

This roster isn’t close to a championship roster. It just isn’t. I won’t blink an eye if we lose to Ole Miss because they are the more talented team.
