FTR, the season started yesterday. I am a guy who went from zero interest in the sport ( 1996) to absolute fanatic. The baws who frequent here will enjoy the sport’s ethic. Pick a team ( I’m Colorado- but pick the closest team - Dallas has a great shot) and start watching. You’ll be hooked.

So I’m a Kraken fan and can tell you she actually does earn her keep as a coach. She was with the Kraken minor league team and helped get them to the league championship finals two years in a row.
The Kraken are a below-average team, but they have a ton of undeveloped young talent. Her job is to get them to skate better. Kraken fans are happy with her.
Also, to echo another poster… if you are not watching hockey, you should be. It is a lot of fun to follow.
And yes, the Dallas Stars are LOaDED. So if you want to follow the team closest to Louisiana… that’s your ticket.

Jess played at Cornell and for Canada in the Worlds. She’s intelligent and has a high high hockey IQ. As a lifelong Bruins fan, I’d love to have her in Boston because we’ve been making some bad decisions on and off the ice.
