“Uglies” on Netflix moves into top 5 worst movies I’ve ever watched

I’m typically into weird sci-fi stuff and will give everything good and bad a shot. A week ago, my wife and I actually turned this one off about 10 min into it, but I decided to finish it on my own last night and into today. Holy crap this is hysterically bad, so much that it was comical and I really had to finish it. Apparently this was a book previously!?
A trifecta combination of horrible acting, horrible cgi, and horrible writing.

Don’t know if it’s Top 5, but it is damn close. It is laughably bad. Some of the worst acting I’ve seen in quite a while.

I guess you haven't watched Breathe yet. That made my top 5 worst last night.

First mistake is giving anything Netflix original any shot of being good
99% of the time they put out the most god awful boring movies. They are not memorable in any way and just fade into existence

All of these pre-teen sci-fi movies are pretty bad.
The only movie series based off of teen books I have legitimately enjoyed was Mazerunner.

Directed by McG. That should've been your first and last warning.

Here's the plot on IMDb
Sounds fascinating

It can’t be that bad, expectations had to be low going in. It’s the movies I’m excited about that miss the mark that stick with me as horrible movies. Not some made for TV thing I knew was going to be crap before I even tuned in.

There was a shark movie with Alicia Silverstone that came out a while back. It was so bad it was almost good

If they couldn’t finish divergent then there is no way they keep making these movies
Joey king might have been a decent child actor but she is about as bad as Kristen Stewart in the acting department

They completely ripped off the premise of that Twilight Zone episode but made everything about it worse in every possible way.
A modern adaptation if there ever was one.

I must have horrible taste, because my wife and I enjoyed it, and hope they continue for the sequel.

Generally everything this board hates I like, except The Acolyte. I thought that was garbage too.

Gave it 15… glad to know I don’t need to go back

Her big sister Hunter is fine as hell, however.

It was super dumb. No one was particularly ugly. Except maybe the dude from the beginning after he had the surgery. He went from looking like a normal dude to looking like an action figure of Lance Bass
