This chick comes out of nowhere and is dominating the charts. I know she was on some kids show back in the day, but all of sudden she's dropping huge pop hits that she didn't write

All of her songs are catchy. Probably written with subliminal messaging from the government or some shite.

Sabrina Carpenter has been big for a while now (definitely NOT “out of nowhere”). She opened for Taylor Swift a couple years ago, and that catapulted her from rising star to superstar. Her most recent album is very popular with the same crowd that loves Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billy Eilish, and Ariana Grande. It’s simple catchy music about how she doesn’t need her ex who did her wrong. Young women can’t get enough of stuff like that.

I found out the hard way how popular she is

My 14-year-old was begging me to get tickets for her Dallas show in October.

We signed up for presale and I had to login at 9:45 sharp on the Ticketmaster app on the day they went on sale at 10

I logged in at 9:40 and kept hitting refresh and by the time I made the queue at 9:45 they were 33,000 people ahead of me.

It instantly sold out and the cheapest ticket is $200 behind the stage nosebleed

I asked the buddy of mine that gets a hook up to every event. He sat right behind the Rangers dugout for the World Series last year and he told me he can’t even touch Sabrina Carpenter tickets.

Usually when a pop star breaks through there’s a bunch of conspiracies about her or him being a industry plant but this is uh a new one

ocassionally when driving I'll flip through stations and land on the current pop hits station. A copule months back there was a catchy tune that I learned was by her. Then a few weeks later there was another new one also by her. Now recnetly I heard another. Sometimes I'll hear all 3 in the same day. Maybe I just odn' pay attention but I can't ever recall an artist having 3 different songs all getting airplay simultaenously. It's crazy.

And ftr I'm not hating on her, all of them have been pretty catchy.

If she wasn't a smoke show I might agree. She's hot enough and sings ok enough to be right where she's at.

I heard her name for the first time last week.

Listened to a few songs, it’s okay.

If you had to make me pick a younger female pop star I’m going Dua Lipa.

She just released her 7th album and her concert footage has been huge on social media for years.

So, sure, given the speed of bureaucracy, I guess that time line works.

I think she was more R&B early on and has legit vocal chops.

I'm in this boat, sort of. I know all her music, but I didn't realize all these songs I listen to all the time on the radio are by the same chick named sabrina Carpenter and that she's extremely popular.
Only found out a couple of days ago when I sent to YouTube and saw one of the songs then one of all the suggestions were her songs that I also know. I know all her songs that play on the radio
