my bad here's a better link
quote:
Pelicans coach Willie Green praised Jemison in February before one of New Orleans' matchups against Memphis.
"It warms my heart to see Trey get an opportunity like he is getting,” Green said. “He was great for us to start the season. He was with us all summer, training camp and preseason, and to see him get this opportunity, we’re all so happy for him. I know he is thrilled to be (with the Grizzlies) and is one of the hardest workers I’ve seen."

That dude was really good for Memphis last year and I was pissed we didn't sign him when we was on our G League team.

That is a link from a year ago.

Looks like that is a 2 Way contract that he is on.

This probably confirms we going into the season as constructed.

Think it means nothing one way or another at this point. Aug 6 is the date we will know for sure

Yeah, the 2 way deals aren't guaranteed so teams can change direction pretty easily with those.

Man I saw contract before the name and was about to be giddy... Yet, we sign Trey Jamison. Ok. He has some potential, we know that from his stint with us and then he got run in Memphis...
Guess it is Center by committee. I'm curious to see who stands out and how the position affects a given game.
We got bodies and all have some talent or a particular skill that is brought to the table. Missi is athleticism/shot blocking, Theis is reliable defender/3 pt. shot, Matkovic is athleticism and all around game inside and out, Jamison defense/rebounding. Wish the traits were all rolled into 1 stud Center, but I digress.
Pels have done what they could pivoting from being unable to trade Ingram for team needs. Still time to make a trade for someone more established, but I'm slowly coming around and looking forward to Camp/Preseason... It's a good team on paper. Dejounte is the key for the year.

It was never not going to be. It's too bad our entire committee is 2nd and 3rd string caliber.

Allen will be on the team at the trade deadline.

I just can’t believe we really are going into the season just $1.4 million over the tax line. You’d think Griff would have been doing whatever he had to do to get below that line. Maybe that’s a good sign though that they are willing to spend to win. I know we have the worst center position in the NBA hands down though. There’s no doubt about that. People are going to be missing Jonas in a bad way this coming season.

I thought a poster made mention that tax day, for seasons, is at the trade deadline. Not for sure.

Iirc it's end of the season, but you can't really shed salary past the trade deadline, so that's effectively when we'll know.

It was guaranteed we’d miss Jonas no matter what. Dude gave us everything he had. He ws great at cleaning up offensive glass and was a respectable scorer. Had a timely string of triple doubles…

Good move for end of bench.

I can’t believe we couldn’t bring JV back for ten a year. He woukd have been useful for low post scoring when Zion is inevitably hurt.

I like it.
It’s going to be fine. Murray pickup is huge.

Wanted to get him when Memphis waived him. Glad the pels claimed him. Rim protector, rebounder, put back machine. Productive player on a cheap contract. He proved it in Memphis last year.

4 centers…. Sounds like Zion time management for 70 games.

He didn't wanna come back
