All he had to do was pay a great speech writer to write a great speech and read it. He could unite the country, look presidential and put this thing away. But he is too undisciplined to do it. I’ll bet if you took his riffs out of the speech it was pretty good. It’s really tough to watch. I am gonna vote for him anyway, it’s everyone else he needed to win over. This speech reminds the people that were thinking about voting from him why they don’t like him. It’s not a damn trump rally. It’s a nationally televised opportunity to win undecideds and he shite the bed.

I don’t think it’s as bad as you’re making it out to be, but it is a bit of a dud. Mediocre at best.

It's mostly his standard rambling stump speech. I was hoping for the discipline he showed in a few of his SoTU speeches. This isn't that.

No speech he could’ve given would’ve pleased everyone. If this board remembers to 4 years ago, Trump gave a tame RNC speech in 2020 at the White House where he stayed on script and everyone called it too long and boring.
