Trey was not with the US team due to contract negotiations.

And the following questions asked were hard SKIPPED. I really hope we dont fumble this.

Thought it was interesting to hear Josh say "no i did not want to be there" talking about his last year in NO.

And Trey isn't going to say anything about his contract negotiations. That would be unprofessional.

Their entire podcast is based on jokes and sarcasm.

It was quite obvious that the last contract Hart signed with the Pels was structured in a way for him to be traded. Both sides knew he would be traded in that last season.

I don’t know why he said Pels did him dirty in the contract negotiations. They gave him a chance to go out and find more money and he couldn’t do it, and Griff gave him more than he was offered on the open market.

Loved Josh, but he kind of sounds like a sourpuss because he’s not worth what he thought he was. Kind of like BI currently.

Yeah dude hated being here that's why he didn't sit courtside that night after being traded. Oh wait

Has anyone else wondered if Griff refuses to just have to keep BI and let him walk for nothing that he re-signs him and then looks to trade Trey? That would be the bail in the coffin for Zion. He would begone the second he was able, if not sooner by pulling an AD.

They're trying to get him extended this off-season.. That's literally the best piece of news we've had in regards to how they view Trey and his future with the team.

Listening to Josh talk about why he didn't want to be in New Orleans, he felt the team screwed him on his contract, and they did because that's what RFA is designed to do, it really makes you wonder how what's happening now will change BI's attitude towards the team.

That being said, Josh played fantastic while not wanting to be here.

I mean, he's not going to talk about numbers in the middle of a negotiation. I didn't get any sort of bad feelings about that.

It's totally sour grapes on his part. We gave him more money than he was able to get on the market and the contract was clearly meant to be traded. Im sure the pels and his agent communicated that to him. The contract was also short and had a player option so he could get back out on the market sooner if he wanted.

This isn't a case of him being lied to or anything, he's just salty because he thought he was worth more money at the time when the market deemed that he wasn't

Yeah that didn't bother me at all. Still love Josh. He just wanted what was best for him money wise.

Also, he was clearly drunk or getting drunk during this video so I wouldn't take anything he said super seriously

Guy still interacts positively with the Pels and our players on social media, and he's been back to NOLA since. I get being aggravated you wanted more money but he's not AD level petty angry.

The fact that he got paid in New York, probably in his mind, justifies how he felt about the negotiations with NO. Not that it's right at all, but confirmation bias, yada yada.

He got paid 11% of the cap at the time in NOLA

New York paid him 13% of the cap.

Not much difference at all, and I think he’s a better player now than he was when he was here, so if anything we may have overpaid him. I don’t see why he’s salty about it at all
