A little more than a week after the United States men's national team became the first Copa América host to be eliminated in the group stage of the world's oldest international tournament, Gregg Berhalter will no longer be the team's head coach, multiple sources tell FOX Sports.
Berhalter was originally hired in 2018, almost 14 months after the Americans failed to qualify for that year's World Cup. He led the U.S. back to soccer's marquee competition and into the round of 16, and was rehired for the 2026 World Cup cycle last June by Matt Crocker, who had become the federation's sporting director two months earlier.
But despite winning a third successive Concacaf Nations League title in March by beating Mexico 2-0 in the final, the team has struggled throughout Berhalter's second term.

Ladies and gentlemen, we got him

If they don't back the brinks truck up to his house then we have failed as a soccer nation.
These assholes at us soccer make the children of this country pay a small fortune to play. The least they could do is use some of that money to keep them interested.

Amazing news. Hopefully no nepotism involved in the next hire

Almost as good as a Dos a Cero in Azteca.
Hopefully we get someone in here that will change something up. If Jurgen had been gone for more than a couple of months then I think he would be an option. But I doubt we can pay him enough to walk right back into work. I hope I'm wrong. But anything will be better than watching Gregg continue to do the same thing over and over.

Turned it to xmfc to hear more and Jason Davis and Wynalda immediately say "this isn't a day to celebrate".
Wtf is wrong with our personalities.

Genuinely curious what the next move is?
Yeah, it's fun to dream of Klopp, but I doubt a dude who turned down Germany is going to coach us at a discount.

He didn't turn them down.. Their coach is really good and did a great job with the team. Took a legit miracle highlight goal from Spain in the 120th minute to beat them. He ain't going anywhere.
If Klopp wants that job for the 30 cycle he needs to come take us to glory. Morocco made the semis in 22. If Klopp does that for us on home soil he's a living legend and can name his price anywhere.
