I just caught up a few days ago.
Was it every explained how Viserys's dragon (Smoke_something) ended up in Dragonstone? Why wasn't it in King's Landing? And has there been any word on the dragon that Daemon found at the end of S1? It seems like the Blacks have two fully grown dragons that aren't being used.

That wasn’t Viserys’ dragon, Seasmoke was Laenor’s dragon.

Right now there are more dragons than dragon riders.

Whoops. I remembered it as "my late father's dragon", but it was her late husband's. That explains why they have it.
So did Viserys not have a dragon? He was a Targaryen and a King, seems like he would have something, even if he was a pro peace ruler (with a debilitating disease) that never planned to ride one into war.

Viserys rode Balerion who died of old age (same dragon ridden by Aegon the Conquerer).
He refused to take another one for so.e reason.

Less wieners this time. I'm now convinced that Aemond is a lizard alien.

That’s like trying to follow me in bed. Some things are just the best you’ll ever have. Lol.

The SO and I got caught up on everything over the holidays. We got bogged down in the S1 rewatch so were watching S2 while finishing S1 rewatch (super weird and probably not ideal, I know).
The one thing that stood out to me is how casual everyone is about extra dragons and even the claiming of Vhagar. How in the world was that monster not guarded by 20 people day and night? How is every other episode not some exhaustive mission to claim these extra dragons?!? It’s like there are these Death Stars just lying around and folks aren’t doing everything imaginable to claim them.
Maybe it’s mentioned in the books or elsewhere that this has already been tried, but I would’ve thought everyone would be spending every waking moment trying to bond with or claim these extra dragons.
Still really like the show and think S1 was better on a rewatch, but this feels like an oddly huge thing no one is focusing on.

"Unclaimed dragons" are generally wild as frick. That's why it's a big deal to claim one.
20 people watching them day and night would sooner than later turn into 20 piles of ash and bone.
One other dragon rider watching them would be safe, but would get the slip as soon as they went to sleep. There aren't enough dragon riders just milling around to watch one dragon 24/7, much less all the free ones.
This is why they just generally keep track of then. They knew where Vaeghar nested and hung around. They didn't need to try and babysit her. There are only so many people in the realm with the blood of old Valeria, which seems to be a requirement for claiming one.
Aemond "stealing" Vaeghar was a coup, sure, but it really wasn't that far out of the realm of what could have been expected.
I side with Aemond on that one. If ol' girl wanted Vaeghar then she should have claimed her first.

Makes sense

Yea, just seems like such an insane and obvious lapse to not be more diligent with Vhagar given he is basically Godzilla in this world, right? They don’t let him get stolen, and this thing isn’t even a contest, right? They’d have Aemon’s dragon, the older lady who was passed over for Queen’s dragon, and Vhagar. That’s a sweep.

O 10/10 side with him. If someone leaves a lightsaber lying around, you grab it. I just don’t understand how someone does that.

Sir Cole only moves under tree cover or under darkness
Very next scene: Sir Cole and his army in the middle of a field in board daylight
Lolol, right up there with Danny sort of forgot about the Iron Fleet
