I got it eventually, just didn’t think the Blacks would be so easily fooled to that degree. I know we all like them bc they have the best characters, but damn they’re such strategic dumbasses.

They have what 5 dragons? How do you send one when you know the other side has the ultimate trump card. They gotta maintain strength in numbers.

I think I may flip to Team Green at this point lol. With Daemon a bumbling fool, Aemon is the only one actually plotting and scheming. Sure his arrogance and brutality will definitely bite him in the arse, but it will be glorious. He’s single-handedly winning this thing for the Hightowers having taken Vagar to begin with and now smoking their 2nd biggest dragon (Daemon’s is their biggest, right?)

The fact that they only sent one dragon definitely comes up, probably in next episode

How can you find this episode disappointing. It's been the best of S2

Some people just like to be "edgy" by being contradicting.

Aemond is the only one on team green worth rooting for. He’s got his eye on the prize (pun intended) and is ruthless and cunning enough to do whatever is necessary to achieve it whether it be intentional or unintentional. And up to this point everyone else is so abysmally inept to sit on the Iron Throne besides maybe Otto Hightower.

I think they implied that he’s a bastard. Not sure why that matters since he’s not a Targaryen.

Very next scene: Sir Cole and his army in the middle of a field in board daylight
Sir Cole was daring the blacks to attack with a dragon because he had Aemond with Vhagar just lying in wait

Legitimizing him could allow him to inherit Driftmark

They expected that Vhagar would be stationed to defend King’s Landing. Dragonstone is just across the bay from KL, so deploying Vhagar for battle elsewhere was extremely risky and bold because the only other dragons the greens have to protect the capital are Aegon’s and Helaena’s

Daemon flew off to Harrenall. The council didn’t want Rhaenyra flying into battle and risk the queen being killed. Then you probably need at least one dragon protecting Dragonstone and another protecting the Velaryon fleet that was blockading King’s Landing.

Man, this show continues to impress me. S2 is blowing away S1 and I liked S1.

Shits getting real

What a way for Meleys and Rhaenys to go out.

At one point, after she took down Aegon and Sunfyre, it looked as though she was leaving and going back to Dragonstone. And then had a moment of realization where she might as well try and bring down Vhagar too and knew she wasn’t going to survive. You could see it in her eyes. Fantastic acting.

Well, she did bring down Vhagar

Surprised as big as Vhagar is, that crashing into the ground like that didn’t result in some sort of injury that kept her from being able to take off again right away
