You could, like, at the very least, pull a small quote from the article.
quote:
Louisiana already has the second-highest average rate for home insurers at $6,354 yearly, according to Insurify. But by the end of 2024, the state could see rates surge by a whopping 23 percent, Insurify projections indicate.

You’re basically paying FL level flood insurance rates without any of the amenities.
If you’re in Louisiana, and you’re towards the end of your career and about to retire, why the frick wouldn’t you just move to South Florida? Way more amenities, beautiful beaches, hotter women, and non-corrupt government leadership. Everything you could want.

Louisiana was never intended to be mass inhabited by humans
Don’t complain about high insurance rates when so many economic resources are devoted to home repair.
Imagine a town where 100% of people have diabetes, and the residents are complaining about high premiums for health insurance
The fact is, the profit MARGINS that Louisiana home insurance firms earn is NOT higher than the national average.
You are confusing revenue and profit

The entire insurance industry is made up of POS crooks. Doesn’t matter if it is health insurance or property owners insurance, they are the scum of the earth.

Man I hope I only get a 23% increase. Would be my lowest annual increase in 3 years

Don't worry. We'll fix that issue with more internet porn restrictions.

Well, for starters, the food sucks.

Tell me how one of the poorest states in the country can support these massive price hikes.
Between private school tuition and insane home owner insurance, I’d be looking to move.

Another reason this state sucks
A fat, dumb populace and corrupt politicians. But hey we have crawfish!
Once my youngest is out of the house we are packing up and leaving this shithole

$6,354 yearly is the average? Is that accurate? I knew it was bad but not that high.
