A majority of the population supports this, and millions of people are already doing it. It’s already been proven that it won’t cause society to fall apart because so many people are doing it already and it hasn’t caused the apocalypse yet. It’s not any more dangerous than alcohol.

It just seems like this should have been made a priority issue a long time ago. It’s much more important than some of the other dumb shite they’re focused on. We could grow it on farms and create more jobs for people, increase sales taxes and excise taxes for the government, and even make it a major export to other countries help with the trade deficit and bring more money into the U.S. from the rest of the world.

It’s just such an enormous opportunity that we’re not taking advantage of. Expunging crimes such as simple marijuana possession would also help us depopulate our jails, which is something Democrats have been wanting to to do in recent years.

Wouldn’t it be a win win for everyone to legalize it?

Because it makes it an easy lie for the police to perform searches and steal money.

Always got to love when a legislator with a DUI votes against it

Because it’s degenerate, stinky, trashy, and ghetto. I absolutely despise marijuana.

Also, how is tobacco bad for your lungs yet marijuana is a-ok?

Singapore has stiff penalties for marijuana and is one of the cleanest and lowest crime countries in the world.

We should take notes from them.

Two groups oppose the legalization of Marijuana.

1. The pharmaceutical industry which has a huge and powerful lobby to spread money to politicians.

2. The alcohol industry which has a moderate lobby.

It's a voting issue for the dem sheep. It will be used after they wear out abortion, dreamers, student loans, etc.

It's what the GOPe does with their sheep. Border, deficit, defund NPR, regulations, etc, all campaigned on for 30 years and no results.

LEO unions/associations.

Weed is a major backbone for their intrusion into our lives, and their ability to shite on our rights.

I wish I could disagree with this, but there's too much truth in it.

Singapore is a tiny city-state island nation who can easily control what goes in and out. We can’t do that in the U.S. because of how much border space we have between the Mexican border, Canadian border, Atlantic Ocean, and Pacific Ocean.

You’re comparing apples to oranges here. People are going to marijuana in America whether it’s legal or not. It’s just like the Prohibition situation in the 1920’s.

Weed is bad for your lungs too but most people don't smoke 20 to 40 joints a day like they do cigs.

Because it's become a political football. Democrats want to keep it in their back pocket to leverage it for political gain and they'd never allow the Republicans to join them and take it off the table as an issue completely.
