Why do you hate the Celtics?

I’m a big Celtics fan. Have been for years. But, I see people saying they HAAAATE the Celtics. Why? I’m genuinely curious. No thugs on the team. Seem to play as a team together. They haven’t been winning championships, so it’s not like you’d be sick of them winning. Why the hate?

I don’t care about the Celtics one way or the other, but I suspect it is either due to rivalries from 1979 to 1992 or the KG/Pierce teams.
I can’t imagine anyone hates Ray Allen and I don’t think many people hate Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown (and certainly not Jrue on this board).

Their stars have no aura/ are unlikeable and 90% of their fanbase is made up of 5ft 5 liberal alcoholics. The style of basketball they play is also pretty unwatchable in terms of them playing math instead of basketball.
They have maybe 2 likable players on the current team. Jrue Holiday and Payton Pritchard.

I don't hate the Celtics themselves. Just Boston sports fans in general.

Why do you like them? Lots of bandwagoners. Case in point, you're from the South, yet you cheer for the Celtics. Celtics and the Fakers. I live in Kentucky and I know multiple Celtics fans who could not find Boston on a map.

Loved the Celtics since childhood. Used to be called Larry Bird on the neighborhood courts and not just because I was the only white guy out there. Pelicans come first

I don't hate them, usually I just prefer the other team they are playing. Plus when it gets to this point , I will pull for teams that have never won a championship or best match up
