Back in 1979 my dad worked for DOW Chemical and got transferred down here. The worldwide headquarters of Dow are in Midland. I’m not sure about this but it’s a city of like 35,000 and I don’t think they have had a murder in my 63 years. They don’t have a bus station… a very clean and crime free city. A great city to raise a family in… just a bit boring…

I’m not sure what you mean. But out of the 35,000 people, they may have like 20-25 colored families… and they all work for Dow in some capacity… at one point I think midland(because of Dow) had the most millionaires per capita in the nation.

When I read this article and they said that the cops "trespassed her from the property" and she fully cooperated; I just pictured her hugging her Keurig to her chest, flanked by 2 cops carrying sleeping bags and a printer and a few backpacks, as she leads them to a fairly well maintained bright blue PT cruiser with faux wood paneling that has clothes heaped shoulder deep in the back seat. They help her load the car and watch her drive off into the mid-day sun, warm breeze blowing gently by, they watch dozens of 'Disney, the Magic Kingdom' stickers track off into the distance, and right there, etched in a chrome rectangular ring around the license plate were the words...."it's a small world after all"
