Man, Y'all Baws were right about Raising Cane's Chicken

Where i live... we just had a Raising Cane's open up about 4 months ago.
On this same road, there is also a Zaxby's, Gutherie's, Popeyes, Chick Fil-A, KFC and another local Hot Chicken type place. All within 1/4 - 1/2 mile from each other.
I can understand Cane's being packed out at the beginning when they first opened, but we are now going on 4 months and every single night, the cars are lined up around the building and down the street. It's insane.
A few of those other chicken places in that area are going to be closing soon. I just can't see how they can compete.
A lot on here will say Popeyes, but right across the street is a brand new Popeyes and it's the best Popey's I have ever had. It's very clean and new.
I actually ventured in to Cane's (First time) last night after a ball game - Packed, but we decided to wait. Service was on the same league as Chick Fil-A. Sauce is pretty damn good. Fries are pretty good but the chicken just seemed really fresh. I don't know how to explain it but the whole experience just seemed a lot cleaner to me. Sure, it's a new shiny building but food-wise, it was on point.
If I had to pick between all of those chicken places.
1 - Popeye's - I just love the Mardi Gras Muster and Dirty Rice and the biscuit - The Popeye's by my house - I know there are shitty ones everywhere. Depends which city, etc
2 - Raising Canes - As mentioned above
3/4 - The Local Hot Chicken Place / Gutherie's (TIE)
5 - Chick Fil-A
6 - Zaxby's
7 - KFC

Idk where I read it but someone said “In heaven, all of the Popeyes are staffed by Chic-fil-a employees,” and that would make it all worthwhile.

None of them can touch the fried chicken at the Piggly Wiggly Deli in Newsite, Alabama.

I just love... the biscuit
What Popeye's calls a biscuit now is an affront to a real Southern biscuit. It has the proportions of a still-frozen Pillsbury biscuit and the Sahara is downright muggy relatively.

FYI you’ve had a canes the entire time if you have a Guthries since that’s where he got the idea from.

Have y'all had Waldo's Chicken & Beer? Best chicken tenders I've ever had.

They opened one on 92, just off I-575, outside ATL. They tell me it's always packed.

Honestly their chicken sucks. I end up eating it last out of the bread & fries. The chicken tenders always have that tendon in it which ruins it.
give me the bread buttered on both sides with double sauce and that's about all they have worth a shite

This invalidates pretty much everything you said. Their dirty rice is not fit for a dog to eat.

Try Guthrie's in Alabama. You'll discard the rest of chicken fingers.
Whole chicken parts goes to Popeyes

Southern Classic in the Shreveport/Mansfield area will always be the undisputed GOAT fast food fried chicken and if you’ve never had it then I pity you.

Cane’s can’t touch Chik-fil-a. If you think it does there is something wrong with your taste buds.

Kinda apples and oranges to me.
Popeyes is the best but we get CFA much more often, it seems not as “bad” for you as Popeyes. Canes similar to CFA in that regard. I have no idea how they actually compare nutritionally but that’s the perception.

There's a Chick-fil-a that opened on Tulane and Carrollton a couple years ago that was once a Burger King. I passed there yesterday heading home from Costco and it was insane the amount of cars lined up to order.
They even had a cop directing traffic in the lot to keep it as orderly as possible. That place is a goldmine.

Cane's is great outside the state of LA. I'm still confused as to why they continue to use styrofoam containers here but in every other state they use hard plastic.
