Have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 with 175k miles. Doesn't meet the 15 year mark but close. Have only replaced relatively minor items like water pump, heater core, windshield wiper motor, & batteries. No major items yet. Doesn't leak oil and would trust it for long drives.
Also have a 2012 BMW 328i with 115k miles. No major or minor repairs.

Just sold my 2007 Sierra. Little over 130k miles. No real issues. Started getting a small oil leak, very minimal. Wife had to convince me to get a newer one. I obliged.

I've put 200K miles on two different vehicles, and I don't travel for work. That's just basic city commuting, hunting/fishing, and a few vacations I didn't fly.

i have a 2017 dodge ram that is paid off obviously. I am gonna ride it out for as long as it will let me in this economy. Not trying to make any silly purchases right now with a 1 year old.

2000 Ford Expedtion. To be fair, we've only had it 14 years but we bought it in 2010 with only 44K miles from an older couple. It just hit 200K. We don't drive it as much now and only use it as a backup.

I kept an 03 explorer that lasted all the way until COVID. I’m rough on vehicles though I have 2017 that has 320 thousand miles on it already.

I might try to get 15 out of my current F150. I don't rack up many miles and they are too expensive now.
I'll just keep fixing it unless it becomes a maintenance headache. It's been fine for 7 years so far.

I mean also as a daily driver.
a friend of mine and I bought new F-150s at about the same time in 1993, I sold mine in 2001, not because I was looking to sell it, a guy saw it and wanted it and made me an offer I couldn't refuse, never had any major issues with it, I bought my friends F-150 for my son when he became of driving age in 2014, it had about 200k on it, again no major maintenance issues just normal expected upkeep type of maintenance for a vehicle, a messcan saw it parked in front of our house after my son had been driving it for 2-3 years and wanted it and made me an offer I couldn't refuse, as far as I know it's still on the road

When it comes time, I'll be buying a Toyota and probably keep it for 10 years also
Just bought a 2024 Camry this week, starting a new 10 year cycle. Traded in a RAV4. Drove great, 115,000 miles, just needed a new axle when I traded. Given the dealer's offer for the trade, felt like the sweet spot to finally let it go.
Apparently, this was the last year that Toyota was offering gas-only (non-hybrid) Camrys, so that also pushed me to go ahead and make the move.

I got 13 years out of a 5th gen 4 runner. No major repairs. Did have to replace some door parts, a light assembly, the alternator, a door hydraulic and such. But there were no repairs to the engine or transmission and it was still running great when I sold it.
Goal is to keep the new purchase for 10 years.

Got a 2000 F150 and my fiancée has a 2004 Silverado 1500, aside from normal maintenance items neither truck has had any issues. Water pump and alternator in her truck that I've replaced about 7 years ago, mine has everything original except brake pads/rotors and one rear brake bulb.

Pretty much Lexus product should do that easily.
RX - family member took one over 350k
LX - these will last well over 250k
ES - multiple family members over 200k
I don’t expect the current gen with hybrid function to work as well long term however. Toyota / Lexus generally take awhile to figure out and perfect something and while the Prius has been very reliable as a taxi platform, I don’t think the larger platforms will be as cost free longer term as large expensive batteries require replacement at predictable intervals.

pretty much inherited my father in laws 2006 F-150. 198,000 miles original owner. no issues other than regular maintenance. My daily is a 2019 f-150 and honestly the 2006 is more reliable.

I had one that I rode until it died. And it got totaled due to a wreck that destroyed the frame rather than any mechanical issues.
Doesn’t help that book value for an old car sucks, meaning any damage raises the chances significantly of considering it totaled.

Yeah, that's what I worry about with my youngest. Her car is probably only worth 5-6k, so pretty much any kind of accident will total it, but it's worth more than that to me because I've kept it up maintenance wise for 13 years. I couldn't get a comparable replacement for the money.
