The Weather Channel just showed new video of damage in Limestone County, AL. It’s pretty significant. Looks consistent with an EF-2 or EF-3 type tornado.

NWS Huntsville is going to have a lot of surveying to do.

That area in Limestone county is Brigadoon, a community right next to us in the SW part of county.

We were hit by an EF0 tornado in August 2023, and now this. We live in freakin’ tornado alley for sure.

Once again, 8 a.m. tornado warnings almost always signify a bad day.

Lived through it here January of last year. Scary as shite. Luckily we were ok. A lot of the county couldn't say the same. We had 3 on the ground at one time and one of those missed our place by a little over a mile.

80% humidity here in Henry County, GA RN.

But more importantly, the dew point is sitting at 68. That's huge if it can stay below 70 when this system rolls in.

Huntsville was definitely rough last night. My daughter (no pics) has been living there and is moving tomorrow. The tornado was very near her. She lives in the 5 points area and had to go multiple different ways to get to work at the hospital downtown this morning early. Big trees across the road, power lines across the road, just bad. She said the area by the big cemetery with the big houses looked awful when she passed this morning, but it was still dark...like 5:30 am. Looked like a lot of damage.

We are supposed to get severe storms later today, dewpoint already at 73 and it’s supposed to be 91 today with high humidity. DP could hit 80 here

Storms are really bad just east of Birmingham. My Dad is driving on I-20 and he has seen several pine trees being blown down. The leading edge of this MCS is coming through there now.

That warning box by Birmingham might be the largest I’ve ever seen.
